I know I am probably being really stupid but I cannot seem to work out how the blacksmith works even though people have tried to help me.
I think though I may be incorrect that blacksmith upgrades can only be applied to units trained in the same town as the blacksmith. I also understand that you have to apply level 1 upgrades before level 2 etc.
For example I have 3 horsemen and I have researched one of level 1 cavalry armour and I press apply I get all 3 horsemen with a white box round them. Does the upgrade apply to all 3 or do you have to have one upgrade for each individual unit. If it is one individual unit how do you pick it as I cannot just pick one. If the upgrade automatically applies to one should you be able to see a difference because I can't and when I click on the horsemen at the stables and look at armour they all are saying 5 which is what they start with when you train them. If you have used a level 1 infantry button can you then use it for any other units or should it then be disabled in some way as nothing changes.
As I said I am sure I am being stupid but please could someone talk me through it and what you should see happen as I am totally confused.
