Dungeons - need help with hidden buttons

I am having a lot of difficulty finding the hidden buttons to open the gates.  If I knew a few of the basic guidelines it might help narrow my search.  Are there buttons in ALL the rooms? The rooms with the beacons - do they have hidden buttons that affect the gates in the section that was opened up after lighting the beacon?  I don't know if it's my screen on my laptop but I'm not seeing any variations in floor tile colors and I've clicked on the walls so many times I'm afraid my mouse is going to seek me out in my sleep for revenge. :)

Nope, buttons are only in the areas where there are locked gates. Each dungeon is split into different areas - with buttons, with traps, with a beacon puzzle, etc - and the areas don't overlap.

If you have a section with locked gates, make your way to the room at the end of the path you can clear - the button to unlock the next path will be in that room. They're never in corridors, always in rooms.

Hope that helps a little! They really are very hard to see.
