Game Updates

I understand that it is going to take a while before Alpha 3 is implemented. Is there any way that some of the Alpha 3 updates can be implemented early? It would be great to be able to have new abilities while I wait.. to be able to protect some of my population with the shelter. Is level 20 classic age or stone age? It would be nice to have chieftain protective clothing I cannot use until lvl 20. I am not sure about towers, but one of my TT1 favorites was the arrow tower, which in that game we could use as soon as we trained archers.

I understand that some updates cannot be implemented, as much as I would like them, but upgrades that can be implemented would be appreciated ... new abilities that help me protect my towns, and upgrade changes that might help me in playing a more exciting game while I wait on the Alpha 3.

i dont mind waiting if i know that something good is coming, but this is starting to bore me, i mean, not even in the game, even the forums are quite dead now, and i fear this game has been already forgotten by a lot of people. i like when there are updates even if they are silly or small things (i dont know about the rest of you but that makes me keep my attention on the game) but latelly there hasn't been updates nor forum posts, i was starting to think this game was dead, and i really hope im wrong but right now i dont know what to think

The fact that there are no small updates means we are focused on something bigger.

I know that you are focused on the big one, but id like to see some progress, i mean, id like to see how advanced you are in the developement of the alpha 3. A post every x time with some of your lastest goals acomplished could be an idea and would do for me, to see relativly how much time it lefts untill the alpha 3 and to calm a bit untill it comes

You have to be the master of yourself and be patient.

I'm with Chao on this one. Game is boring. No quests, nothing happening. Going around picking up discarded chicken legs has lost its appeal! And, despite having revealed most of the planet from under the 'fog of war' still cannot get rid of the fog around my towns. Always thought of aruka as being a weak and cowardly leader in TT when she wouldnt venture under the fog and she hasnt improved!! Have upgraded most buildings to the point where I need to spend money to buy blueprints and am not spending any more money than I already have done just to wait endless hours for a building to grow to next stage. And to say that this is it, only at alpha 2 after all this time, well, nothing else to say, really. And yes, it does feel as though everyone else (including Elvis!) has left the building!

I do post updates in the news when there is something worthy to post about. Our goal is to get the job done, not brag about our every minor change we have done, sorry.

Plus, current version of the game was never meant to provide fully-fledged experience so you can get rightfully bored. If you are - just put the game aside until alpha 3 released with new stuff. The purpose of alpha 2 was to find bugs, test some of the gameplay concepts, show players a limited experience and gauge the reaction.

We got that and now are busy working on the next iteration (alpha 3).

I myself am torn by wanting the next stage and still having goals for this stage. I wouldn't mind a small hint on how much time is left but I also understand that those things are hard to judge. Waiting but not impatiently.

I wouldn't mind waiting for another two weeks or so, as I still have things to do. So, please take your time! ;)

I haven't played in a while because I was getting bored with it, but hey - we got to taste it before everyone else even gets a sniff.  I don't mind waiting for alpha 3 to released, be it next week, next month or for whatever amount of time it takes to release a good enough to play version 3.
I felt that if I continued to play I would get sooo bored that I wouldn't want to play when the next stage is released so I haven't and now I am starting to get the excitement I felt coming up to the initial alpha launch.  So by the time stage 3 comes along I'll be so eager I'll be going to bed at 5 am again lol.
Hope everyone is keeping well and that the team are keeping safe and working 20 hours a day!!!!!!!!! ;)

The is no point in fixing bugs now, because alpha 3 will change a lot of things and might re-introduce more bugs. Plus we need to focus on something signle. We had bug fixing period earlier and now we have intensive development period prior to alpha 3. After alpha 3 launch there will be also intensive bug fixing period and so on.

I usually opt for communality, but since this is a test I chose to begin a leaderism hero. When I chose leaderism, I put up a red flag that said "I am a warrior come and attack me". And so I am constantly attacked. I found out that while I am a target, I have little protection for hero, warriors, explorers, settlers, or resources. One of my vulnerable spots exists because the shelter is not working. Constant rebuilding, retraining, and reviving gets old. So I got on forum and asked for a shelter.

So ... this has nothing to do with boredom or wanting more to do. It has to do with testing the potential for a leaderism hero. As of right now, I see little or no point in choosing this polity option.

Just one more comment. I have not been upgrading my gardens or forests. Upgrading simply allows the resources to grow faster. Why should I do this? It will only encourage my neighbors to plunder more often. I am not speeding up my resource growth for another person's benefit. I need to be able to protect them first.

Yes, not working Shelter is a serious drawback for players like you. We will see if we will be able to implement it before alpha 3. No promises though.

Do not declare war if you cant handle consequences.
