The game is in the 7th Alpha Stage, with the final goal being commercial release. What is missing from this game when compared to games that are already commercially released?
Here are some game aspects:
Story - Solid story is evident from the quest locations (Herald's Home, Opposition Hideout, Keeper's Village, New Kyiv, Karfaree). I think the story could probably be release-worthy at the end of Act I and the corresponding quests. Extra content can released after the initial commercial release to keep people playing. Completed MMO games still have new quests and story added later on, in updates.
Sound - Soundtrack is already great, some are adapted from the original Totem Tribe (a completed game).
Monetization - Enkord Cash Shop, which follows the business model of many released games (just search f2p games on Google, almost all of them have cash shops). In my opinion, this is fine.
Gameplay - Very unique gameplay, you can be sure the market will not be saturated when the game is released. Most important is maintaining a healthy in-game population, although I don't know how well that's going.
Technical Issues - Bugs can be fixed during testing, but I see fewer crashes in the bug report section nowadays, so clearly, progress is being made. Server size might need to be increased for full release.
From my point of view, most of the progress to be made seems to be in the story category.
What are everyone's thoughts on how close to release we are?
