Slight Spoilers - I need help

I would have posted the screenshots normally, but I was having trouble doing so. Anyway, I need help with this candy puzzle. like even with the instructions, I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. Not to mention, I can't even use trial and error as it resets after every mistake. Anyway, I'm not risking trying it again right now. If anyone has any idea on what to do, please let me know. Also, I hope I'm not breaking any rules here. Before anyone says anything, yes the Google photos links have my real name in it (not my middle one though). Personally though, while I would rather not have that in public if I can help it, right now I frankly don't care at the moment. I need help that bad. Anyway, if I am breaking some kind of rule (which btw if there's a link to a rules page please let me know), please let me know so I can do... something. Idk.

Unfortunately it didn't. I was so close too. Seriously this puzzle SUCKS. First off, the instructions the game gives you are incredibly vague. I didn't even know you can tap on big groups of candy and it would tell you how many is there, nor that they can go in any direction, or that you can tap 1 tile above them and it would be ok. I learned that from the video. Second, it's inconsistent. As you could probably tell from the picture, I was doing what I assumed was the right thing, but when I tried doing what was working previously, NOW it doesn't work? What sense does that make? However, the worst part, is the randomized resetting. It would be one thing for it to reset normally, but why, OH WHY must it be RANDOM!? It literally adds NOTHING! All it does is make it tedious. Hell, you could be *This Close* to finishing, and with one mistake, you're screwed. I wish it would at least give you the ability to undo a move, or give you at least three chances, or SOMETHING! Furthermore, since it's random (and unfortunately the video was for ANOTHER CANDY PUZZLE), I can't even watch a video to find out how to do it properly. Some people might consider it cheating. Personally, I don't care. I just want to get this done. I just...want it over with.

Edit: I won't deny, I'm probably bad at this. This is just...it's frustrating, that's all. Maybe it's me, not the game. Idk anymore.

I don't get it. It's like the puzzle is ignoring its own rules now. According to its own rules, the number of cookies/candies on a square is the number of squares in the rectangle. But look. At. This. The  number of candies on the square is 4. Which logically means, it's a rectangle 4 squares long. Now, seeing as it couldn't go down because then it would only be 3 squares, and I pretty sure I can't go diagonally (as far as I could tell, it couldn't go 4 squares that way anyway), I went to the right. And I LOST. HOW? HOOOOOOW!? This wasn't the only time this happened to me on this round. Heck, there was a square with 5 candies but not enough spaces. Am I the only one having problems with this? Seriously what's the point of the puzzle when the puzzle is no longer consistent with the rules you have layed out for it? At that point, it's just trial and error, and not even the fun kind.

The 4 green candies in the corner go into a 2x2 shape.

For example, if you click on a candy and it tells you the final shape needs to consists of 16, it can be 1x16, 2x8, 4x4. So in that example, you would check whether any of those would fit, and in case it does that it doesn't touch a candy group of the same color/candy. Sometimes still several options are possible, so then you need to wait with that group and do other groups so that eventually the number of options for the example group is reduced to only 1 option.

Ah ok. Thanks for letting me know. I apologize for getting so upset at this puzzle. But if it means anything, I am getting better at it.
