I like the animals that appear in this game, but they have limited use. I used peguins a lot last alpha. In large numbers they can even explore parts of the oceans. The foxes are usefull as scouts too, but are very slow. Further the animals can be used for fighting monsters and againts another players troops, even ships, but they also can weaken your own troops, because they usually get killed fast. So at a certain stage most players don't even bother to collect them. I think this feature of the game is underdeveloped and it can be made more appealing. What if some animals take up the role of fighting structures? For example: - Elephant: Attacks all non-defensive buildings - Rhinoceros: Attacks defensive buildings - Giant Termite: Attacks seige weapons This is just a rough idea from the top of my hat, but I'm curious what you all think of this.

I think these are good ideas, Frodo. As you reach the higher ages, the fighting power the animals provide versus the food they consume does not make it worthwhile to tame them. Higher powered animals with destruction capabilities would add a nice touch.

I too, like this idea. It would make the animals even more fun. Many stop taming them after a while.

I was thinking about adding siege and defensive features to elephans and hippos but forgot about it. Other animals will be buffed up a bit. Will be added in the next update.

Just an idea, why a small animal cant be used to find jewels? Like pigs for truffles in real life :-) Either a new animal available to be tame , either a porcupine or a lezard , they can do something special when a jewel is close to the hero ( 2 inches distance maybe? ) Of course, hero must be back to the cave / dungeon / location once no monsters there :-)) Just to find the last 2 or 3 missing jewels...

That would be useful and really fun. It can be any animal. I liked the idea of making the dog a gem sniffer :)

I like the idea of assitance finding jewels. Something similar to the magnifying glass in original TT. Some of the animals we already have in game have additional special features, so I agree with Arya . We can make the dog be a hound dog and assist with this task or just create an eagle for this . Anything used to help find that 1-2 missing gems would be greatly appreciated :)) Also , lots of players had difficulties finding triggers in dungeons. Maybe if we are lucky we can find a "trigger detector" in a chest??

Bats love to live in caves ... could they help find missing stalagmites?!

These are great ideas. The "seeker" ability could be applied as an "animal upgrade" or a found artifact to be applied to animal - Like a collar. In this way the ability to seek out items comes later ... (as the more advanced obstacle breakers are) after we have had time to try to find the items on our own. I would also like to see excavations at dens result in finding something totally unusual .. like a clue to missing chest items or opening a secret quest at that location.

What about brown bears in this alpha? Siege or destructive features for them?
