Need help: Tips for WARRIOR players

I want to make a compilation of tips helpful to beginner players when they are progressing into the game further building their own strategy. As a developer it is hard for me to figure out which information is the most helpful, so I am asking for players to post information they find helpful. The most important information bits will be integrated into the game itself in form of Bulat advice.

Please post hints for WARRIOR players here - anything related to warfare.

Focus on building walls and towers, promote them, better for defense. Max them all out!

Warriors need a lot of food, fertile plains are a must! At least 1 town.

Defense, defense, defense. Leaderism does not have the same benefits as collectivism and this is a must, large armies and towers/walls is a must.

I know all of this should be obvious, but i still think it needs to be in game tips.

                                                                          Plunder

-Plunder the weak, spot early the neighbors that don't play much and the ones that have no defenses and plunder them as soon as novice protection is off.

-If someone's country is only a few cells and yours is much bigger, they don't play much and could be a good plunder target.

-Always make sure you gain profit by plundering, if you are losing too many units when plundering someone, it might not worth to keep plundering him until you are stronger.

-If a town has very low population and too high culture, it means it has minimal military buildings, and may or may not have many towers, keep that in mind when plundering.

                                                                    Leveling up your hero

-Dealing damage to units and buildings is a great way to get experience points and levels. Build a few Primitive rams early and damage others' walls and towers for exp points, or wait and unlock Classical age rams which are stronger and faster.

                                                                          Neighbors

-You must destroy them, start plundering them early as much as you can, if they have too strong defenses and you always lose when attacking, don't attack until you get stronger

You have to step on others and steal all of their resources to be a strong leaderism player :)

Or other leaderism players will do that to you.

Defense, defense, defense.

I have to disagree here, you could be the strongest leaderism player with a big army in your neighborhood, with none or a few other weaker leaderism players, you could plunder the weaker leaderism players and the collectivism players whenever you like and control that neighborhood.

Nobody would dare to attack you, so you wouldn't need towers, rarely, far away players would attack.

When there is competition in the neighborhood and you have other just as strong leaderism players very close, you will of course need big defenses because in the end they will want to destroy you.

A tip would be to not upgrade towers, until you are attacked, but have some already built so you can be ready to upgrade them.

Ouch. I would never suggest that towers and walls not be built up. By the time somebody has chosen your town as a target, it will be too late to overcome this mistake.

Agreed.  If you are caught without towers, you are in trouble.

Focus on tech. Whatever increases tech spending and learning should be a priority. Nothing can be accomplished without learned tech skills. This is well emphasized at Opposition Hideout.

Focus on resources, houses for speed, towers and walls for defense. For a leaderism hero culture is secondary. Level your hero.

I would say Arthas posted very good strategy, however this strategy is for hardcore players who know what exactly are they doing and want to be on top of things all the time even if it means play unsafe sometimes. Time is of the essence and his strategy conserves time by skipping on things that can be skipped upon.

However those advice is no way suitable for beginner players. I would say it is not even good for intermediate players or those who prefer to play "safe".

I build a blacksmith in one of my towns to level 18 or higher, the others I just build it to level 5 for the shrine of Knowledge. Defense Defense Defense. When you attack just know they will come back at you some time.

Never under estimate the value of a good alliance. You are always stronger together, than separate.

Study the reports. There is so much in there.

Use shelters and quest locations to safe guard your valuable siege weapons when not in use. This way, if you are attacked (or spied on) you don't lose them or have that town marked as a target.

Target towns that hold Catapults and rams. They offer no defenses and you can really hurt your enemy by destroying them. He won't by able to destroy your buildings if he does attack back.

Upgrades make a huge difference. Both in attacking and in protecting your precious weapons.

Watch the population/culture ratio of your targets. High population usually means a lot of military or defenses. High culture might mean that they have neglected their defense and are likely to have plenty of resources for you to plunder.
