Berserker, I know there have been numerous discussions on
truce proclamations… but as one of the newer players in this phase I wonder if
you’d consider having a 5-day ward available (it could be rare and more
expensive to purchase – but worth it I think).
And reconsider the possibility of a proclamation overlap to cover the 12
hour gap. Perhaps take a poll? J

give the oppressed a change. 5 days seems reasonable.

I also think 3 is plenty. since you can put them on to start when the other ends already don't see why they need to be longer

If you are so desperate to play without being attacked create new heros to find the best spot and not between 2 Leaderism players.

There is always a 12 hour prep period between one truce or ward. So there is always a 12 hour period when you can be attacked. In that 12 hour period, a determined attacker can attack at least 39 times and your culture can go from 425 to 179, all in fun of course. It is very difficult to repair that kind of damage in the 3 day ward period, especially if all your resources are destroyed. A 5 day ward would not be unreasonable. Another thought would be a stepped prep period between wards say 4, 8, 12, 16 hours stopping at some maximum amount.

No offense but it sounds silly, you are talking about an oppenent who knows how to play the game and super close to you, from the moment the attacker needs 1 hour or more to travel to you the 12 hours preparations are nothing, without counting the fact a good communality player can crush leaderism from the first attack, but as I said, the communality player needs to know how to play the game.

Learning the game is fun but not being able to learn fast enough (without being annihilated) is irritating (at times) or better word, frustrating! I have played for awhile, still don't know the "mechanics" of the game but am learning through the attacks and "friends". I think what is being asked here is if there could be a way for the not so new players to get a reprieve from attacks to recoup losses. This would allow players to regain strength to continue playing, if not some may quit early on. Everyone knows this is a "testing phase" so comments or suggestions are good. You will always have those who don't want to fight, just enjoy the game enough to build cities, have friends, and take their time. Plus, you will always have players that want to "rule" the game. Either way, I think its possible to have them both. Any takers?

Even 3 days for Lada's Ward is too generous in my opinion. We have to keep the balance between both peaceful and agressive players. 5 day ward never going to happen, sorry. New players will have a longer beginner protection though, like 14 days. That should be enough for them to figure out the game. It's just test version that we don't need people sitting too long. Earlier alpha stages had beginner protection period even shorter.
