But in some cases, can't you be locked out of a chest containing a vital key?  Asking, since I am not sure.

No, you cannot be locked out of something vital, only out of some helpful consumables that can be obtained somewhere else.

Hey There,

ich have a GREAT idea to make caves more fun!! What about the Magnifying glass from TT1? Just a tool for evryone to get hints evry some minutes to find gems, moveable rocks, quest-items, switches, etc.

It would shrink the disapointment and anger not beeing able to finish onecave because one rock or key is missing.

Sincerely TD

I am playing Hidden Cave with Simba II - my hero with the least experience. Since I have been in so many caves I knew to bring army and look under every rock and seek stalagmites (or whatever they are called). My little army beat several sets of flying coffins, found hidden passages, disabled the traps and obstacles. At the end of it I am facing four stalagmites that need pieces. I found one. So after successfully venturing through the "tough part" of killing monsters I find myself in a dead end?

I am finding this to be a bit frustrating. Maybe I am blind ... maybe not. :) But I beat a lot of monsters to get where I am going only to find I cannot get where I am going. Beating monsters does give me access to pass them but otherwise only gives me another vial or resource  ... I would like to suggest that beating the monsters provides the stalagmites instead more hero items and/or resources.

I once found a stalagmite piece in a stalagmite cluster. They are difficult to locate - which is okay. But we are seeking 16 - 20 items to open chests, seeking gems, seeking secret passages, seeking rocks that move etc. Maybe the stalagmite pieces that allow passage could be obtained in a different manner - at least for a change in strategy.

I don't know how much work that would be but maybe it would be possible to ask a friend for help (same as it is when constructing buildings) but this time for help in finding items...? So that you could share an area (cave) view with a friend that could do nothing there but look for items (stalgmites / chest items). If they find one they could use fireworks or a similarly designed item and attach it to the specific place with a message. Asking for help could cost something - like a special consumable item that could also be found in caves.

I have no more caves for now and as I'm reading the posts of people who are stuck lacking a stalagmite tip, etc, I'd gladly help while waiting for my own constructions/training to finish...

Btw, the first 2 days after the cave update I found ~8 maps for caves (6 were for the deep one). But since then I haven't found any, even a double for an already found cave - has the probability of map finding been changed?
