Feedback request: Caves vs other quest locations

My opinion is that the randomness of the caves is great. Hero to hero I didn't know what I would meet up with, what to expect, and that made visiting each cave a new adventure. Loved it! And a few general questions were enough to get me through the tougher spots. No road maps available!

I think the issue of new added content encompasses more than just story line. I think we have recently seen a lot of changes that are taking a while to discover/utilize/learn - and totally understand. Even with my experience in the game I feel a tad overwhelmed with everything new coming at me.

I am guessing that the timing of all this may make a single location (which also allows story advancement) more desirable.

I also vote for one area that moves the story along.

The caves are a nice side trip.  All 3 of my heroes have only found the same 4 caves:   Small, Hollow, Dire and Misty.  But, I want to finish my quests.

If you want to finish your quests, the 1 static quest location won't help, even 2 or 3 won't help :)

Travel times are somewhat spoiling the fun for me when it comes to caves. With 4 heroes I don't always remember whether I already visited a cave and what to do there (take army with me? Wait until I find a torch?...). Now if there were a teleporter activated once I visit a cave for the first time... :)

I have enjoyed the caves as a time filler while waiting for buildings to finish. However, they have been very frustrating as I haven't been able to find all the stalagmites. They're just too hard to find in places and I've given up. The side story of the road stones in the cave is distracting. If it could be tied to the main story somehow, that would be great. Otherwise, I'd prefer a static quest location.

I vote for 1 quest location.  I like the caves but would  like to see the story line advance more.

I vote for storyline quest location. The caves were ok, but seemed redundant. I also find it extremely frustrating that you don't have the tools required to complete the caves.  Instead of a 10 level tool acquisition, I would like to lobby for a 5 level tool distribution.  I don't think you have to worry about anyone finishing the game too quickly based on the new tech you are coming out with and which is proposed for the future.  It's a great game and thank you to you and your team for all the work you've put into it!

Chris, levelling up your hero is quite important, I think many players underestimate this and/or haven't quite understood the many benefits that come with high hero level. Hence I like the levels for the tool, they sort of 'force' players to work on their hero level.

I vote for quests that follow the storyline.

This survey is almost 2 years old, no need to vote on it anymore, we already hired a specific person to do cave-like quest locations, hence the dugneons, anomalies, etc.
