Maps for Caves

Yeah, but from all the talks here and in the chat a lot of people reported that they haven't found a map/cave on the world map for days. After the initial burst of caves, no other were found - should it be that way?

I ask anybody who wanders into this topic to state when was the last time they discovered a cave in any way - this way we can check if it's a normal, random lack of caves for some people or if there's something wrong.

Mine was 1 or 2 days before I posted in the survey thread - and that was 2 weeks ago.

I had been wondering if my map was already uncovered a lot except for in the water does that mean that I wont be able to get caves? I have only found 1 since they came out. I know that they are random and the higher you are the more you will find but I figured I would surely have gotten more than 1 cave by now. I don't mean to seem whiny and all but it is certainly discouraging when someone who is only a level or 2 above you has already found 4-5 caves and you only have the one. 

Legendary requires specific high level, Mysterious must be found on the map under the fog, Hidden requires map that usually spawns inside towns. I thought maybe it was a possible bug, but since its different cave each time, highly unlikely it is.

So if I am reading this right Misty Cave (renamed from Mysterious Cave) does not require me to find a map in one of my towns, it is just out there somewhere on the map. Beerfairy is still looking for Misty Cave. I have 8 but not that one, could it possibly be on an Island? 

Yes, Misty Cave does not require a map and yes it could be on the island.

Wonderful, maybe just maybe I might find it one day......soon

After I already lost any hopes I had of finding it - Bam! I've found the legendary cave! :)))) Nice and long, but almost finished - bare one obstacle. Can I have another one? ;)

Does my hero have to uncover the fog or can the alliance uncover the fog for me to see the cave? I still do not have misty cave for Beerfairy

It does not matter whether it is you or your alliance that cleared the fog. Once fog is clear it is clear

I found Misty Cave!!!! I had to uncover it myself from the fog, not sure what the difference is between the alliance uncover the fog or me uncovering the fog. But I removed myself from the Alliance I was in, and uncovered the fog in my surrounding area, and found Misty Cave. Cool, maybe Bereserker can explain that fog thing for me. So happy got them all now

Are you absolutely sure that fog spot was uncovered when you were inside the alliance?

yes it is right smack dab in the middle of all of the other Caves, right near Deep Cave 2 squares away, when I was in the alliance I searched and searched the entire map for weeks. I asked if it could be on an island, you said yes, I made a mess of the ocean looking for an Island I had not uncovered. I got a suggestion from someone else to remove myself from the alliance and search the fogged areas near my dwelling of Beerfairy that had already been uncovered by someone else.  I sent my scouts out again before going to bed last night and this morning there it was, I was so happy. I remember reading somewhere about scouting and sharing what was uncovered from the fog, but it was a long time ago I read that and I can't find it. Something about Complementary something or other. I am back in the Alliance now and it is still there.  

So, was it fixed, or did it get forgotten in all the big pile of work needed to get A5 done?

Would like to know for sure, Alliances are being formed, and it will save my explorers some long walks, if I join one.  Because the exploring will be shared, without missing out on caves.

Love the new puzzles, have 3 heroes all trying out different stuff, old and new.  Looks like a lot more aggression in this alpha, so learning to fight, plus figuring out trade victory, plus.......... :D

Did you try exiting the game and re-enter it ? (just going back to hero select screen and log in again with the same also worked for me)

We did some tests with goznij, and indeed logging out-in helped show on the map various stuff like resources, villages that other team members could see.

As a note ... I have noticed that my caves can be seen with alliance member's clearing efforts. It was one of the first things I checked.

I was lucky, that I did not need to refresh or reboot to see the caves on the world map. They just popped up. But .. they are few and far between so maybe if you did not find one, more clouds need to be cleared? Just a thought.

My misty cave appeared in an area I know I had not reached before joining alliance, so definitely fixed.

You find four under fog, small, hollow, misty and dire, then level 10/11 hidden cave map arrives in town, to let you know it's on the map.

Started a new hero towards the end of A4, seemed like you had to go a lot further for caves.  Small was twice as far out as before. 

My hollow full of new monsters, won't be doing that one for a while.  They are tough cookies.
