"men units for info age"

I have reached information age for the first time and one thing that stood out for me was the lack of "military men units" . There are only the special agents and the are at the end of the info tech tree. There are plenty machine units upgrades but regardless of how good a machine is you will still need "men units" to improve chances at offense or defense.

We have to use men units from industrial age and guard them. Once we get the special agents it disables many of the other military men units. I was thinking that maybe something like  the " Green Berets" or Special forces could be added or something similar to navy seals.

Just an idea that might improve the gaming experience. I really enjoy the game and discovering new things as I play and also getting better/ improved units. Thanks :)

Right now, I would simply recommend to not research the special agents, it's at the end of the tech tree so it's not mandatory to research for something else and they are overall less powerful than the riflemen that they lock. When space age will be released, we can hope that some technologies in that age will be good enough so that obsoleting riflemen is still better, likely robot infantry units.

Unless your dwelling is at the end of a peninsula in such way that you have 0 or almost no sulfur, it's not good enough, because you can make 18 riflemen per sulfur while you can only make 9 special agents per town. Not only that, but their range is 2 instead of 4, their damage is only decent against creatures (I guess it's because of the idea that darts can only hurt something living, but you may as well make them do 0 damage to tanks with such logic), bureau of investigation and special agents (and their upkeep) are way more expensive than riflemen, and they cannot have their armor upgraded and their attack can only be upgraded with POIs.

The only nice thing about them is that they are invisible until they reach the town they attack, but even if you send stealth fighters and submarines with them, they are that weak that they are likely to all die in that attack, so it's better to directly attack with a real army.

Hence my "they are overall less powerful than the riflemen".

I agree, for units at higher age they provide less power than units 2 ages before. I understand they have multiple capabilities, but I rather have strong units that only do 1 thing very good, than units that are jack of all trades and master of none.
