Multiplayer is unplayable

So, I donated 30$ for the support Ukraine event in order to get the exclusive decoration for my port town. I was in early classical age, my character was level 18, and I hadn't been engaging in any multiplayer outside of forming a small alliance with locals. Then, the literal top player in our server, who was over three ages and thirty levels above me, invaded my town and destroyed it entirely while I was offline for no apparent reason. They plundered me and one of my allies a few times before, but I didn't think much of it as I would just transfer the resources out before they arrived. I tried messaging them about it and asking why they were picking on new players, as we weren't nearby to them at all, but they ignored my PMs entirely. During their invasion, one of my exclusive scorpions was killed and my decoration was destroyed permanently. They had sent almost 200 units, including cannons, trebuchets, catapults, late game ships and gunmen while I was using clubs, swords, and bow and arrows. I don't see why older players should be able to attack newer players at all it's ridiculous and the game offers no balances for the technology gap. If I only had one town, they would be able to repeatedly invade it and kill my hero without me being able to resurrect effectively and get back on my feet. I don't see why you should invest any time or donations into a game where you can easily lose them and under such unfair circumstances. I had played the first game when it originally came out and I was hesitant to get into this one because of the MMO aspect but the description page described it as not being too life consuming and more casual oriented. Although this clearly wasn't the case as skipping one day led to my country's ruin.

you were very unlucky!! 

we can't attack heroes younger or older (latter makes no sense to me) than 30 days, so if this hero is that much further in the game than you, either they are very fast or you are very slow or both.

start a new hero and try again!
