You ask for this at your first posting and edit this later. You can see all the postings i delete and bring them back. I just delete the unrelated stuff about your mod-rights. Unimportant for somebody who search for tipps here. And thats why we should delete this last 2 postings now too.

I have clicked all over the front, left side of Heralds house and can not get a fishing pole to appear. Where exactly is this fishing pole. When I click on the house anywhere Herald appears. What is up with this?

I think the culture/domain figures are now way off. I currently have 184 culture and 33 domain (it says I should have 37). I'm sure they are still fiddling with the numbers, but maybe it would be better to show them as a range here, until they are locked in. The other thing I was wondering, is if maybe the domain numbers are dependent on whether or not you have adjacent neighbors preventing you from expanding in one particular direction. If that's the case, a range would also be more appropriate.
Also, this says new players are added from right to left. This seems to be true in the northern plains, but not in the southern hemisphere. I added two heroes one after the other to check it and the later one is definitely to the right of the earlier one - meaning that they were added from left to right. It is possible, of course, that this is a fluke, but it still counters the idea of players always being added right to left.

They are added from right to the left indeed, but there are might be small mixups.

More culture data: 195 culture does NOT raise the domain to 45. I'm at 195 culture and my domain is still 33. The numbers above say it should have been 37 from the time my culture was at 162.

lovintnt - the domain sizes and borders were constantly changing in alpha 1 - I don't know whether or not that is still the case but for the moment I wouldn't be too concerned about it as long as you don't end up with one of your towns outside your border.

It say >195 wich means bigger than 195, if you have a culture of 195 so 37 is right because you are not bigger than 195. But like i said i just made it in my own experience and because of the fact you can built something with 1, 2 or 3 culture per update it could be a different number around the borders I found out at stage 1, im sorry about that.

No, actually even by your definition, it is wrong. Your numbers say that >162 domain = 37, but at 195 I was still only at 33. I am not criticizing you, btw, just trying to get correct numbers in here, since some people (like me) try to grow their domain and use this as guideline. I understand that the numbers change, but these are way, way off. If there is going to be a hint thread in here, we should try to get it as accurate as possible.

Unless you are blocked by someone I find these numbers to be pretty accurate. I have used these guidlines since the beginning and the culture thread is the one I look at the most.

I am completely unblocked on 2 sides. If these numbers are accurate for you, then maybe there is a glitch in the way they are being applied, because they are completely wrong for me. Now I am at 261 culture and my domain is 41. According to the above, >250 = 57. Clearly, I am nowhere near that number and I'm getting close to the next "milestone" culture number.

being blocked on any side can affect these numbers. so if you have people near you on two sides they will affect you domain size since you grow equally on all sides. Your domain would not become a rectangle with the unblocked sides making up for the blocked sides if you see what I mean.

That does make sense and I assumed that it was contributing to the numbers being off. I am only blocked completely on 1 side, meaning I have been able to grow on 3 sides all along. These numbers are still way, way off, even taking that into account. (And, this should also be explained in the original post.) I could understand if they were a couple off, but 16? No, that is far too great of an error. And that doesn't take into account the fact that the domain does not grow at the "milestone" numbers, or even soon after them.
*The quote boxes were getting a little ridiculous, so I did not further it.

Well this whole culture coversation is off topic for this thread. Knutistgut or Buckwheat please move to culture thread or just delete if you feel like it. All I can say is I have an unblocked town with a culture of 179 and 37 cells which is right in the range it should be according to the culture guidelines.

One more thing, I now see you have a second town in your domain. It is also affecting the size of your first one where they overlap :)

Can you please explain this? I was only able to build the 2nd town within my domain and I built it on the edge. Are you saying that 2 towns means that I am now only entitled to a smaller domain? This does not make sense to me, if that's the case. Especially since I watched my neighbor seize a resource, THEN expand to encompass it, build another town and expand beyond it quite rapidly.

I'm not sure how this is off topic, since it pertains to one of the hints. I'm glad that the numbers are working for you, but if they are not working for me it is very likely that they are not working for other people. If they don't work for everyone,, they should not be put forth as universal. I believe this is one of the purposes of alpha.

There is a full culture thread which is where this conversation should be is all I meant. A second town does not mean a smaller domain but it does mean that you now have a domain overlap. I think some of this is already covered in the actual culture thread and obviously I am not very good at explaining it :(
