Increased need for blue prints - price too high

Since the new parameters have been introduced – time & resources, the other thing that has increased is the need for blue prints. In my main town I have used up the store I had and now have to purchase them. To clarify, the need for blueprints on higher levels of storage buildings was likely always there but I didn’t need them that high before.

If you buy Enkord cash at the rate of $20 a time and get a bonus that makes each blueprint approximately $US4.31. I think this is too costly in terms of how many we would now need to build up to high levels. I think I have only received one blueprint from the jackpot wheel and the days of the Professor handing them out are long gone. To get the Lumber Shed up to Level 20 requires 2 blueprints, ie: $9.62.

I am talking in terms of storage buildings because since the change that is basically all I have done – increase those buildings. The reason I have been leveling up the storage is because of what the other buildings now require. For example:-

To get the Totem Pole up to Level 9 requires 900 crops, 900 lumber & 3,600 stones. I am fairly sure that Level 10 will require a blueprint and lots more of something

To get the Chieftain’s Hut to Level 10 requires 1,300 crops, 3,910 lumber and 1 blueprint.

To get the Watch Tower to Level 5 you need 780 crops, 3,180 lumber and 1 blueprint.

I realize that money spent now will be refunded but that does not change the eventual issue. I can’t even imagine how much this is going to increase once we hit the Classical Age.

Another side to this issue. You had better not be charging me money for blueprints to finish a building and then let some Neanderthal Warmonger in to destroy it.

I would imagine that when alpha 3 is launched and the classical age technologies and buildings are available, we will more than likely get new quests from Zweinstein and Bulat  and their quest rewards will include more blueprints.  Compared to alpha 1, blueprints are in abundance.

Looks like there is a bug with quoting.

Both of you are correct - there will be plenty of blueprints to cover essential needs from quests etc, but the requirements also needs to be tweaked to require less blueprints. In fact we have been doing that! Those balance changes included removal blueprint requirements from levels 14-16 and blueprint requirements from Hut level 5 back in the days. In the next update we will remove blueprint requirement from Tower level 5 and it's not the end.

Chietain Hut level 10 due to it's high price required maxed out lumber shed which might consume plenty of blueprints so today I have reduced lumber requirements so you will not need maxed out lumber shed now.

However, Ghera, Totem Pole example is wrong. The Blueprints intended to be costy to max out specific non-crucial buildings like Totem Pole. You can play perfectly fine with Totem Pole level 9 as level 10 is not required for any serious progress in the game, it's just a cherry on top and if you really want it - you can pay for it. The essential needs for blueprints (Chieftain Hut which is required to build settlers, etc.) and some extra will be given away for free, the rest non-essential ones you will have to purchase if you really want to max out something.

I am pleased to read that you are adjusting the requirements; that will make a difference.

Sorry if I wrongly quoted the Totem Pole requirements, I have gone past that now so I can’t even put a correction in for it.

One reason for using the Totem Pole is, of course, expansion because it is 4 culture points.

The other reason I like to upgrade such structures is that they are simply a joy to behold. The artwork for the graphics is so impressive that I just love to see each new level. I really enjoy the changing details of each building as they progress.

The reason Ghera gives for using blueprints is exactly the same with me. It's beautiful artwork I want to see in my town. The totem pole already is a beauty up to level 5 (that's what I got now) and so I want to see how it looks maxed out. The same with the altar: it's very impressive how it changes from just some stones to beautiful statues.

Question: Is the change with requirements for towers lvl.5 already done ? I'm asking because in my town I still need blueprints to get towers lvl. 5.

I agree. I look forward to seeing what the buildings look like as they increase in lvl. Graphics are awesome. :)

Level 10 Totem Pole and Altars are exceedingly easy on the eye, my hubby is an artist and I have to say a big hats off to whoever did the artwork for TT II.  You should think about selling prints of some of the buildings and characters - another source of revenue for you and I'd certainly think about buying it.
