tutorial quest issues ... HELP!!

Ok ... really stuck and need some help please guys! Working through the tutorial and get as far as pumpkin house and quest complete, red key found and used ... got the shaft and the blade ... found all the exits and chatted to all the people I can find. Now I am stuck!

First problem ... how do I attached/make the shaft and blade one complete useable item please??? I've tried everything from dropping one item onto the other, pressing loads of random keys ... nothing.

Second problem .... when I click on the woodcutter place and do the quest it logs me out and I have to delete my character and start over!!!! Reported this too but had nothing back.

I don't get what I am doing wrong!!! Please help! Thank you

until you get the rope you can't complete the scythe. Not sure about the woodcutter logging you out.

This is posted in the TT2 forum so to me it looks like you are playing the alpha. Rope is from the scientist once you get through Heralds home

Also my mum is currently playing the alpha which is why I'm posting these questions ... I myself personally do not have the alpha yet

read through the tips and tricks thread should answer alot of the questions
