How many heroes in the full release?

I was curious about how many heroes each player will be permitted to have when the full/completed version of the game is released? I am aware that in some of the games like this you can only have one.

The reason I ask about this is, that if it is the intention going forward to allow more than one hero per account it would be useful if items could be transferred amongst them.  Using the same of method as was used to transfer the gift of Lada's Ward.

As it is right now, the main hero gets any bonuses from contributing donations and the other heroes get nothing unless they purchase them at the shop.

Of course, if the eventual design of the game is that you can only have one hero then the idea of sharing is irrelevant.

Is the bonus connected to the hero I chose in profile? What if I changed my profile hero before purchasing? Does the purchase bonus follow that change? If I deleted my first (main) hero, where then will the bonuses be allocated to?

It's not about profile hero. The bonus will be delivered to the one displayed when you were about to make a transaction - that is not necessarily your profile one - this is usually the hero you were playing when you click "donate" from inside the game. I can't tell what happens if you deleted that hero before receiving transactions - maybe our programmers could answer that.

Correct me if I am wrong, but then is there an issue? If you want the bonus to go to a specific hero, just purchase when you are playing that hero?

This is not how it worked. I was in hero Tuey when I made my purchase but Della gets the bonus items

I see the complications you are referring to. 

I was thinking about it in 2 specific circumstances. First being, if you were to donate $100 and you get 3 Supporter's Packages you might like to distribute 2 of them to your other heroes.

The second being, if you want to delete where a hero is and create him in a new place you could transfer items to other heroes so that you don't lose what you purchased or obtained by donation bonuses.

I hope you can devise a solution. 

Yes, if you want to have bonus on specific hero - just enter him and then click "donate" from there. You will see from the opened page that bonus items will go to this hero.

In one game I have played this is handled with a shared chest in main town. This chest appears for all of your hero's as it were and anything you place in that chest can be accessed from any of them . They call it a shared stash in that game.
