Scouting seems boring

I mean, each 5 minutes, clicking on world map, waiting the fade out effect, clicking on scouting icon, transferring the (so far) only unit from the left to the right, ok, click on a tile, ok, and EVEN a confirmation, every 5 minutes just to discover ONE square: maybe instead we should be able to, like, automate the scouting of 5 tiles, and get no screen asking for which unit is gonna scout if there is only one.

You can send scouts in larger groups once you have them. Also I think there are plans to change the interface at some point

Yes, absolutely boring for me too. Isn't it better to make them roam freely (paying for this some food for example) and discover random cells. When they discover something of interest, then you can receive a message.

Hi all. I disagree. Scouting is brilliant, not boring - you just have to be systematic. Develop an approach e.g. North to South and Left to Right - please keep Scouting in the game to reveal the treasures (Strategic Resources) hidden by the Fog of War - I love it! :)

I kinda agree with the people who say it is boring, but would clarify - it is rather tedious, not boring. We have this in our todo list since alpha 1 to make sending out scouts process simlier, but haven't had possibility to actually implement it yet.

This wouldn't be annoying if you knew more about the purpose of sending scouts. I'm a newbie in the game, playing for only 10 days. At first I rushed to build, explore and research and I was eager to see what new possibilities this will bring to me - at the beginning I played for 5 hours without a break and even postponed a business engagement. At present  I have finished the only quest in the Hideout - it took me 1 day only because of the bug with entering the cave by mistake before solving the puzzle or feeding the cavemen. I have sufficiently updated sheds and resources and buildings, have built everything possible for stone age as far as I can see, I have fulfilled Zweistein's and Bulat's tasks. But ... Times for upgrading and researching are already awful. You can do nothing in between to keep you in the game. Now I enter twice a day for a minute only to start the next long long update. If I want to play some game in the evening I play for the hundredth time TT Gold. At this point it is not clear to me why I should send explorers and what I can do with the strategic resources on the map, why I should research Classical Age and will this bring some more quests or excitement in the game so that it is worth waiting. I hope this is only because it is at alpha stage and because I'm blonde in the game and could not understand everything. If I wasn't such a big fen of TT I would have given up by now (people nowadays are impatient, you know).

So please either cut a lot the times for upgrading and researching or give us something to do in between - chop trees, find treasures, mine stones or something of the sort.

Yes, because if alpha we have almost no quests for now, aside those available by advisors and in hideout.

I don't understand the purpose of such long time for upgrading the buildings at the beginning - this could discourage new players (for researching it seems reasonable otherwise the game will soon come to an end and you could not catch up with new quests) - maybe you should keep newbies hooked by explaining or advertising in some way what they will gain later by upgrading, or you could introduce difficult in between mini quests that will give as an award reducing the time for upgrading (and of course for the most impatient - the possibility to buy something to lessen the time). I understand you are understaffed and trying with insufficient  means to do a great job but more players (even not paying) is much better - more players, more popularity and then you can get advertizers to your site. Sorry for the not wanted advice but I thought that is what the alpha stage is for, not only for bugs.

We have made beginning buildings time as short as possible. Keep in mind this is multiplayer game and others are playing this game in the same world as you at the same time. We need it to be fair for everyone, thus long construction time is a necessity. Otherwise those who have more time to spend on the game will have an advantage because they will be able to build more. We want this game to be playable for people who don't have too much free time (i.e. working and can only play in the evening or do several quick sessions throughout the day).
