Being attacked several times per day by the same player.

1 2

I believe this player is trying to force me out of the game. He has attacked me three times in one day in one of my towns, another hero he had been attacking twice daily with a smaller army. Why are such bully players allowed to try to force other players out of the game? I am a donator to the game, and I feel this type of aggressive play is uncalled for.   Is there anything I can do, since I believe this is a personal attack? - I did try to reason with him, and was told I had no idea who he was, and would be sorry for having tried to talk to him.

No one tries to get anyone to leave the game, but we do try to get others to relocate.

Space is at a premium and it is not good for anyone's game to be to close together. There are various options for that to happen. Some players will recommend that you move and others will attack you until you get the message. If you decide to stay, which you can do, then you can expect the attacks to continue. You will have to get good at defending. The stronger player will win out when this happens. So you will have to decide if you want to stay and fight, or if you would like to try for a less aggressive neighbor in a new location.

I personally have started and deleted several heroes in every alpha. Sometimes I have stayed and fought and other times I could see that it was not going to be a good experience and I relocated.

3 times a day is actually a low number of attacks. Many of us attack much more often.

So now it will be your decision to stay and defend or relocate and hope for a friendlier neighborhood. Best of wishes for whichever option you select.

When you are so close to a player that has leaderism the chance of being attacked is big. Especially when you are so close. Attacking is a part of the game and has nothing to do with being a bully. What has being attacked to do with donating?   There are a lot of donators in this game who are being attacked or are attacking other players. There is nothing personal about an attack, chances are you don't know each other in real life. But if you are twisting the story and don't mention the part of what you have said in PM. Yes the chances are there that it will become personal. Just like Mari said it is your choice stay and defend or leave the spot and start over with another hero.

The PM was polite - I wondered why he was attacking me so often- up to five times in one day. I was told that is how he plays.  He is not next to me, and there is a lot of other available space for him to claim.  The only reason I brought up that I have donated is that  I don't want to be forced out of the game since I have donated to its development.  If I were playing the game for free, I wouldn't be as far along as I currently am and I wouldn't care, I'd let him have the area and start a new hero.

Then probably your defense is too low and he can get away with it. Search forums for advices about  defenses. If you are collectivism and have a lot of maxed towers, this will eliminate any random attacks, because dealing with you will be very costy. You will only be bothered is seriously in a way of someone.

No. There are inherent flaws in the game that lead me to leave. I wish I could delete my Heroes rather than leave them to the mercy of this Bully.  As much as I loved the first Totem Tribe, I can't stand being at the mercy of "heroes" who try to destroy smaller players.  There is an overwhelming sense of Bullying being rewarded that is driving me from this game.   If you ever think to make the game less appealing to people who want to drive peaceful players away from it, please send me an update.  Until then I will think of this as an excitedly anticipated and moderately expensive disappointment, for a "free" game.

By the way, my attacker, Erik, has a huge army, and says this is the way he plays - he goes after all the weakest players he can find.  This is the definition of Bully behavior to me.

We attack a lot of people not just the weakest. Since you really do not know what you are talking about you should not be speaking out of turn. You also have not seen a hugh army. You are being attacked by one army. Some alliances have many, many players and they take all their armies. This is a game after all.

Fortunately - many of us know Erik, and this is not a truism about her play, or something she would say. If you are going to post on open forum, please at least try to be honest.

I tend to disagree. I find this logical, not bully.  If you live to war, would you pit your large army against a formidable opponent who would give you heavy casualties? Most likely, no. Seeking easier targets is the safest way for a leaderism player to up their hero level and at the same time put their troops to good use. It's not like the attacker has a personal grudge against you, he just happens to enjoy good fights with players around him - that's completely legit part of a multiplayer game.

Here, take a look at these two posts. Might help you understand the perspective and playstyles of these two opposite factions. You can also see ways to defend your towns better, if you haven't already read them:

I've been playing this game along side Cleo/Erik for almost two years.   She does not "go after the weakest players she can find."  She hits all types of players at all stages.  Be thankful you are not in the middle of an alliance of leaderism players and if it's too much for you to play near Erik you are free to make a new hero someplace else.

I never attacked anyone in the game Cloe, and Erik/Nevin was brutalizing in the game, and forced me to rethink going any farther. For anyone who talks about Erik/Nevin as a she, that was not who presented himself to me as a brutalizer, so perhaps you have the wrong person. For anyone in His/Her alliance, I thank you for not heeding his call to pillage and plunder - I think he liked to do that himself.

No, I am leaving the game, given that I don't like anything that rewards bullies.  Erik is a Bully.  Plain and simple.  And he did tell me that was how he played, going after smaller/weaker players.  I really had hoped that this game would have been more about building trans-player alliances to stamp out bullies like Erik. To me, Erik is the black ghost shadow from the first game who poisons everything he goes after.

Oh, I called Erik "little one" because he seemed a bit petulant in our chat.  I said it was OK to form an alliance, and he said I had no idea who he was and that this was how he played, preying on smaller players.

My thoughts are that this is nothing but poison tongue about somebody you know nothing about. My thoughts are that this is inappropriate for a forum conversation and should be ended here.

The confusion about the gender, is because some players are a female, that prefers to play with a male hero.

Erik/Cleo is a strong leaderism hero and what you are bullying is normal game play.

It sounds to me that you have made up your mind to stay and fight. If you do, then you need your big girl panties and be prepared to defend.

Please do not insult a player personally on the forum. It is bad form.

On a side note - when I designed the game, I thought some warrior players will take place of the strongest foes from the original Totem Tribe like the Shades you've mentioned. It's just psychological thing which makes some people uncomfortable knowing a real person is behind those foes. If the same thing was done by computer (think the hardest levels of original totem tribe) it would be technically the same, but accepted differently.

I think you have gone to far with this and you are making it now very personal. It is inappropiate to slander somebody, just because SHE is playing the game.

In my opinion you have 3 choices,  1) stay and defend yourself 2) relocation 3) stop playing the game

But most of all stop slander other people

Well it seems that the term bully has become the buzz word of TT Jotun.   Get over it---there are no bullies only players playing a game.  If you can't accept that then move along to a different game .  For those of you that are new here kindly remember---you're supposed to be testing this game ---if you're looking for a farm game then look elsewhere but for crying out loud stop whining and play the game the way it's meant to be played.
