I am a bit confused by the description provided regarding victory types. If you choose the wealth victory, but the rude architect never appears in any of your towns, then that victory type is actually not available for you to complete. Can someone please help clarify if we actually get to choose what victory type we would like to pursue, or is it a random, per chance kind of thing for some of them?

it is random based on where you place a new town.

in my opinion it is far too random... I have 4 towns and not a single rude architect. Made 2 new towns trying to find at least one but no luck. If I had found one in any of the towns I would have finished the wonder a long time ago since right from the beginning I was aiming for that kind of victory and I was working hard on every aspect of the game to achieve it. You can only imagine my disappointment when I got stuck on lvl 44 of the wonder and it was my understanding that wealth victory is something you can achieve by hard work (just like a war victory, while you have to be somewhat lucky, if I understand it right, you can achieve it by hard work and there are no hidden/random characters you need to find in order to achieve it but correct me if I am wrong).

I had six towns and not a single architect in any of them, so I settled a series of temporary towns until I found one that had an architect. I built the structure there and then deleted the town once I had access to Zodchiy. Zodchiy only has a maximum of 4 architects, though, so I'll have to go find another temporary town with an architect. Seven towns is kinda hard on your corruption levels, but it is doable if you really want to go for the wealth victory. I started well into Renaissance age, when my resource production was nice and solid. It's not ideal, it's very hard work and costs a ton of resources... but that's kinda the idea of the wealth victory, isn't it :)

As Annonimous said, from now on, the first manuel is asked for the level 44, so , you will need only 5 manuels ( 1 from your own town's architect and another 4 from the town of Zodchij. Previously, the first manuel was needed at level 34, but this requirement was replaced after the creation of the Town of Zodchij

Ok, in the next update if there has been to architects in first two of your towns, there will be always an architect in your next town.

I finished level 99 of the Wonder and I noticed that level 100 needs a guidelines too. That does make six, so I do still need to find another architect in a temp town.
