I'm finding it a bit confusing while building in the Medieval Era. I began with Monotheism tech and I cannot build the church as I have no wine, a resource that I have found to be very rare having never had it myself nor seen it on any of my neighbors' countries. If it is the temple promoted at level ten, that would be good to know. I'm now about to choose my third medieval tech and reading what each does and (for the first time in the game, what buildings are locked and/or obsolete) Another example is I thought the consulate would be a promotion of the Mission, but am wrong as the mission becomes obsolete and is to be destroyed (or ignored) so I assume will be an entirely new build, hopefully one not requiring wine or another sparse resource. And perhaps I can assume the church will become the cathedral upon promotion?
It would be extremely helpful to know which buildings to keep working on as they are needed at level ten to acquire a later promotion.
My wish is to at least know which buildings MUST reach level ten (such as the hero's main house) and which can be left at a lower level. Thank you.
