Can't reach my island town?

I have a new town on an island. Obviously it's possible to reach it, else my pilgrim would not have succeeded. However I can't deliver resources or send my hero or units. Is it supposed to be like that? I have a harbour there and a shipyard (level 1), am I missing something?

to send units there you need rafts or brigs, to send resources there you need to use a harbor market (ships)

Indeed! Seems I had tried to send resources from my dwelling (stupid me). Now buliding some rafts for the hero and units.. Thank you!
