Cave obstacle (Spoiler?)

In my Hidden Cave there is a rift that needs 2000 food, 2000 wood and 6000 (!) stone for a bridge. Is it even possible to build a camp that can hold this amount, and what level would it be?

it is possible but easier when you reach a different age versus level. With each age comes increased base storage so just wait awhile before trying to cross that rift

So base storage in the caves increase with ages, do I understand correctly?

Gabi, upgrade your camp in your cave as you should be able to cross the rift well before Renaissance

I do? But at what cost? I'm afraid the reward probably won't be worth all those resources.

The total cost of the upgrades to your camp is more than that of the bridge.

I've built that bridge three times now on various heroes - you can do it in classical.  Sometimes the only reward for crossing it is that you get to the end of the cave, with the usual chest (containing a decidedly anticlimactic reward) and a set of gems.  One time I also found another group of monsters over there.  It is essential if you want to collect all the gems.

You also have to have your hero spend quite a bit of time in the cave overseeing the upgrades to the camp.

Whether it's worth it depends on whether you have other uses for the resources and time.
