Sending other people's units into the attack without confirmation is too risky and controversal in my opinion and not really that necessary. Shifting reinforcements on the other hand is extremely important to react promptly at incoming attacks.
Speaking about attacks, commander will be able to announce a simultaneous attack which other alliance members may choose to join.
Sending reinforcements could be also very risky as far as I can see in some battle reports...:) If someone choose to share his army I think he admit that his army could be destroyed ( or not) either defending or attacking. I dont see any difference...Considering how difficult is to coordinate multiple attacks I think is more than necessary to give to commander this ability.
Speaking about the announce, I dont think is useful..unless i missunderstood your comment, sorry. Today almost everybody is commander in all the alliances. Making a coordonate attack with more than one alliance is generally organised from leader to leader, then announced in each alliance chat. Those who are online can decide or not to join. So, i dont understand what can improve this announce?
