If you are aloud to build a new town just in your domain and you are surrounded from every place, no way to expand, what can you do? |

Same question here. The only way I really could expand would be sailing overseas. ;) All other directions are blocked by neighbors.

I don't think you can be surrounded too hard in all 4 dirrections. Sure, at some direction there might be neighbour pretty closed, but in other directions there should be more space, So build up your culture to increase your domain and put a new town somewhere. Is this a question of inability to put a new town or just a general question about expanding your country and make it big? If the latter - in released game when you play, not everyone started with you will keep playing. Sometimes your neighbours will stop and their countries will be deleted after 10 days or of inactivity or so, thus they will be freeing up space for you. It's just alpha that has no random people but fans that don't want to stop :) |

Hi Berserker - one of my other countries, Dwelling of Balor is surrounded and there is no way for me to expand. As I've said before for some reason I cant take screen shots of the game to show you the situation this country is in but I'm hoping one of my neighbours could do it and post it.
@ Tuey or @ Knutlstgut could either of you take a shot and post it here as both of you are blocking my progress and only for I'm so small and you are both huge, I'd attack you - lol. Thanks if you can :)

That's because you were placed long after knut which is a bug. Plus looks like you did't really played much with that account so that knut managed to outrun you with 3:1 towns. |

That's because you were placed long after knut which is a bug. Plus looks like you did't really played much with that account so that knut managed to outrun you with 3:1 towns.
Thats right 4-5 building in a week is not enough for a real competition. Other side if you play more active i couldn't exand because i don't had the space. Also look there: http://www.totemtribe.com/bugs/view/unable-to-expand/ I had vacation of 1 week and i used it to rise my culture and expand, i believe my towns grow as fast as no other. Now i'm lucky, would you grow faster in your first week, so i had no chance now. So or so its a bad situation. PS: For my next town i need 38 additional cells for my domain. |

Yes, Dwelling of Balor was only set up 19 days ago and its my 3rd country so I'm not in a rush to upgrade and explore, but good on you - your country is expanding rapidly. |

I'm beginning to feel rather stupid. I see lots of people setting up more than one town with expansion, but I have 6 different heroes, with some showing "can build town in this cell", but I don't see how to do it. Is it a button? does it require more resources to get the button to show? I have the gathering place, etc., but nowhere do I see a discussion of how to make it happen. |

When you are on your world map, click on your town (but do no enter it). On the left hand side of the information bar (the bottom one) you will see some icons - pasture, road, animal paddock. There should be a button for "build town" or "expand" (I cant remember what it says, but its one or the other), click on it and you will be able to build your town. Make sure that you have enough settlers. If you are Dwelling of Puzzling 4 (I am one of your neighbours), I'd place my new town to the left of your main town, beside the sea.

Training settler now so I hope it pops up then. I have Luxe, Joffrey One, Wonder Three, Puzzling One and Sixth as my heroes. I see a few with several towns on my maps, but several of my heroes are pretty new. |

The button on the world map should show up and if it isn't active if you hover over it it will tell you if your town needs to be bigger if it isn't big enough to expand |
