Foul Language

There seems to be some very strange rules about foul language, some will be caused by typos and some because of different languages with words meaning different things.  However, this is not always the case, and careful re-typing still produces the foul language message when nothing even remotely foul has been typed.

One example was a Christmas message about a famous Charles Dickons character called Scrooge - which was fine, but his first name "Ebene....." cannot type it in full as it comes up as foul language.

Then on a quest location - Ruins - you have to chat to various characters and the word "Bast8rd" is used by you several times - that word is very definitely FOUL language!

The auto-filter might be too agressive, but it actually filters various languages, not just English, that's why some regular words might get filtered out, because in some other language it could be offensive. My preference would to keep it more strict than less strict.

Re: bastard - it is hard for me to judge how foul it is since I am not a native speaker, but if it is you can point at specific places where it is used and suggest substitutes.

I do appreciate the complexities of dealing with multiple languages and cultures and you are doing it very well indeed.

The "Bastard" references are made in the talk to Juliana - I have been unable to take a screen shot as it is part of the question / response the hero shares with Juliana.  Alternative possible words could be:

scoundrel, blackguard, villain, lowlife, brute, evildoer, purloiner, devil, malefactor, miscreant, rapscallion, enfant terrible, piliferer, rogue, shyster, racketeer, knave etc there are lots more but none of the ones I have listed are "foul" in the English language.

Bastard is a strange word in English and can be used inoffensively in a different context such as a mixture of something which is not pure.  However, calling someone a Bastard is always rude! (even if true!).
