game launcher error

my husband tried to play but keeps getting this message. GAME LAUNCHER ERROR-PLEASE RUN THIS APPLICATION FROM GAME FOLDER. Nothing happens when O.K. is pressed.He tried to create a thread on his account but cannot sign in. He sent an email to Enkord and is awaiting a reply.He has been playing since October, has anyone else had this problem?

I have tried rebotting my p.c. no change. I am posting this on my wifes thread as I cannot sign in to my acc. It keeps asking for my password. I have tried putting what I thought was my password,but does not work.My secret password hint is "WHAT OTHER NAME WOULD YOU TAKE IF YOU DECIDE TO CHANGE YOUR REAL NAME" I've tried everything it could possibly be,still nothing.I cannot play the game as I keep getting the message"GAME LAUNCHER ERROR. PLEASE RUN THIS APPLICATION FROM GAME FOLDER." Nothing happens when I press o.k.  I really could do with some help here. I love the game,and I dont want to lose the progress I have made so far. As I understand it my town and all my game can be lost if it is not played within a certain time frame. Its now 3 days since I have been unable to play,so how can I get this problem sorted. I dont want to uninstall the game in case I cannot re-install it again. please help. Thanks SENORFROG49
