How far have you advanced your town?

Just wondering how everyone is doing so far in the game and if anyone has any opinion on what the wooden heads are?  I'm researching the wheel at the moment and have opened the gates both in my town and the Heralds home.  My gardens, forests and stone are all upgraded to level 2 and I've upgraded my, braves, huts, stone shed, and Cheiftans hut.

I'm currently just upgrading stuff. I'm way behind both of you from the sounds of it, probably due to not playing for a few days after the invite. I'm just researching my first level of Stone Age stuff.

how did you opened the gates, where did you find the keys?

I cant really remember where I found them.  One was definitely in one of the chests.  Have you managed to chop down any of the brambles with your stone scythe because I think I found another by doing this.  You know that there are also 2 gates over in the heralds home and both keys for those gates are found around his home.
