I'll be back ...

Since my strongest hero has been trashed by an ... undocumented feature ... I will no longer be playing actively in this alpha.  I'll probably be back in Alpha 5 to see whether the scope for adventure play has improved.

Note that Yishana, on this account, is my wife's hero and still very much around.

I may still be around in chat.  PM me if there's something you'd like my remaining heroes to do.

This is a good moment to express some appreciation: to the devs for producing a game with great potential, and especially to berserker for his commitment to keeping the thing running (as when he worked over a holiday weekend to fix the 'flashing light' problems),

and to all the players who offered help and advice.

You may remember the bug report I put in after my hero MadLogician went into anarchy and suddenly lost most of his food production.  This turned out to be working as designed, but I don't think there was anything that could have warned me this could happen other than meeting some less lethal form of the same situation.  I believe you said you'd introduce a warning for future players.
