I tested Carriers, they work fine, why not release them ?

I tested the aircraft carriers and I was surprised to see that, while they have the same stats as the brigantines, they really do work as carriers: they can't move infantry units but really can move planes. Why don't you release them properly ? Their initial purpose of "allowing planes to attack further" sure is in fact useless, but they do something great instead: reinforce a town with no/not enough runway, with basically any number of planes. Remember that Tuey asked so often years ago about when this unit would be released, maybe finally releasing it would bring her back (and her donations) ? I can message her on facebook about it.

Really from what I tested, they work just fine, they just need to have real stats and cost. Thus, air transport (those that one achievement talk about) should work just fine too, you don't even have to make new sprites for them, you can use those of the empty air traders.

As far as I recall there were some bugs or non-implementable features associated with them that were hard to do to release as it.

But what about the air transports then, do they have bugs too ? Since they transport the same units as brigantines they sound even more simple because of the simple aerial pathfinding.

Aircraft carriers are not just transports. They supposed to allow attacking with air units further than air units normally can, which was probably not implemented and that's why we haven't released them.

I was talking about helicopters that can transport infantry units (an achievement, currently impossible, refer to those), what about those ?

Now that I googled the name of that achievement, "Dropship", it sounds in fact like a space age thing. I knew the word from Starcraft, but I didn't even realize that Starcraft obviously is futuristic. But while the name says that, the icon shows just a mail and wings so this didn't sound that evolved, so I was more thinking about military parachuting like as old as even World War 2 (or simply a transport helicopter landing directly to move troops), so even industrial age could have done that.

Not like it's big deal anyway, because of how brigantines work, such units would have for only purpose to attack another continent or island town FROM any town (not just one with sea or river, if you have any), and maybe not even faster since brigantines can walk on land, but they could have higher speed stats and wouldn't suffer from mountains etc on the ground. It's also still as faster as brigantines than by land if the target town is close by sea but far by land.

If those planned have stealth, they could start to be very interesting, doing stealth attacks not with just the weak special agents but even with good units like commandos, and maybe even rocket artillery, as an alternative to dropping bombs with stealth bombers. It might sounds too powerful, but it would probably be a deserved reward for going that far in the tech tree, and they could be expensive and have only 8 slots like rafts instead of the huge hovercraft.
