Key in Herald's Home?

Hi all, I think I picked up a key in Herald's Home, right at the beginning when I first entered the territory.  However,  it's not in my inventory. I'm not sure whether this is a bug or not - does anybody remember what door it was supposed to open/ what colour the key was? Thanks!

If you are in your main town quest items for other locations do not appear in your inventory. You will see the key when your hero goes to Herald's.

I see, thanks.  However, I picked up a blue sapphire key in my hometown and was able to use it in Herald's. Do keys I picked up at Herald's not work the same way in the hometown?

You don't accumulate research points.  You generate a certain amount per hour which is constantly being used as long as you are researching.  :-)  The more you generate the faster research goes.
