I would like to suggest, that explorers become progressively faster, the further they explore. At the moment round trips take more than 6 hours, which is ridiculous. Any one think this would be a good idea?

I agree.I think that would be helpful. Even if just slightly improved as they explore further away from doamain. Anything is better than their current spped or lack there of.

And couldn't we also go back to being able to send them from the location instead of going back to domain again . I'm starting to get lost on the map :)) Can't find my way back home :)

I understand the idea behind slowing the scouts, I just don't see how it matters, I guess. Regardless of when we find the quest locations, for many of them and us we can't access or complete them for one reason or another. For example, we don't have the tools, accumulated resources or strength to get in and survive. So, even if the locations are found, we will still have to wait a while to visit and complete them. I wanted to send scouts across the water from me, to the south. The one way trip was 3 hours and 50 minutes plus. That seems excessive, especially when we do not have balloons yet. I would like them to be sped up again at the very least.

it is very sad to get on and only be able to send out the scouts once in an evening. They just take too long now.

The current speed of the explorers is turning scouting into
tedium, they are now slower than the foxes.
It is a strange way to attack the problem of new players
finding quest sites too early. As most
new players are not in an alliance and take a while to get the hang of scouting
it is hard to understand how this has become such a problem. Additionally, as was stated by River, even if
the sites are found too early then the player does not have the muscle for the
mobs or the tools for the obstacles.
However, if it truly
is an issue then I don't think slowing down our explorers is the solution. If you need tighter control over when quest
sites are accessible then why not just bring the 'found the map in the town'
function forward to the earlier quest sites.
I agree wholeheartedly with Tsunami's suggestion that the
explorers go faster if they go further to reward those who are serious about
scouting Teya and not just looking for their own quest sites. In the meantime, however, it would wonderful
if our explorer's normal speed could be reinstated.

I completely agree with all the thoughts and ideas here, scouting has just become tedium and is no longer interesting..

Scouting was always like that. It was only faster for a limited time like 2 months at most. If you want to explore faster - use better scouts like bards, more scouts, or carpet items. This is not going to be chaned.
