Survey: how much time have you spent making your first hero appearance?

I spent about 10 minutes choosing the different facial features and hair before settling for the finished image :).

I played around for maybe 5-10 minutes. I didn't think I would spend much time on it, but apparently I like the idea of making the character just how I want it!

I spent about 15 minutes but I couldn't get my hero even near my looks!!(or I guess that wasn't your goal at all! :) ) I know you have a hard time developing the game itself! but if you could improve this section that would be wonderful! because in these sections people usually try to make someone that they really look like or to make someone that they wish to be look like, something like mass effect, if I could help I would be very glad! :)

I have a theme for both my heroes Tulip O'Hare and Cassidy (theme: they're characters from the comic Preacher) so I knew exactly how they were supposed to look. Thus I spent ages finding the right eyebrows, lips, chins etc... About 20 mins for each maybe? Good  fun!

I guess I spent 15 minutes or so. I didn't just clicked "next-next-next", but tried to make a cute face as I read earlier that other players will see this character. I liked the variety of face option - not too little, not too many. If it were too many options, it would take much more time and would me tiring. It's like with some PS games when it seems that the game itself will never start and you end up with groan and clicking next. You balanced very good. One more thing: I was happily pleased to see that you added eye color option. I remember your post a year ago or so with face examples - there were only dark eyes at that time. I'm glad that you listened to your future players' requests!:)

I spent 5 to 10 minutes on creating my first hero.  On my additional heroes I just spent a minute or so changing the hair style and color and then moving on to the game.  

It was around 5 min, i looked all option to choose my favorite fast.

For the first hero, I spent 5 to 19 minutes playing with the proper look and expression until I was happy.  For subsequent heroes, I spent less time and focused on on or two things that are important to me - hair color for one.   I have a brunette, a red head and a blonde.

I spent 15min. Checked all looks, they were all nice. There was no white hair color option, i wanted to look like Arthas from WoW D:

I think it took me about 10/15 minutes to get my hero as I wanted, using all the options except the possibility to move the brows, eyes etc. up and down in the face.

Around 5-10 minutes.  It varies with the hero.
