First off I want to say I think this game is brilliant. I love playing. I love the freinds I have made. I have only been playing for a few weeks now and have made nice big donations to this game. Why? Because I want to see it develop and grow. I want to see it contune on to something even greater.
BUT
I don't want to continue donating if the game is not nurtured. I am getting a sense that the developers no longer want to nurture this game. I know it takes a lot to develop something like this but there is also an issue with support. I do not want to continue donating to a company that just wants my money and does not care about the future of the game. Here are my issues:
Recently there are people who can not play because of verification problems. I have posted about this in bug reports. I posted because they can not post on the forums. There are also issues with new players or those who have new computers not being able to get into the game to play because of these same issues. Those who can get in to play cannot research or do anything of importance to advance. They can spend money though which I think is interesting. They can donate and get an email receipt but can't post on the forum or get an email verfification.
It seems as if nobody on the system side cares enough to deal with the issues. If so then why am I donating. Isn't that what the donations are for? For development of this game and support.?
So, should I continue to donate or is it just a lost cause?

Well for right now I am not going to donate anymore until these issues are addressed. I am not the one having these issues but many others are. I don't think it is fair to them since they have played for years and have donated a lot themselves.
