I'v  got a better question now.

How many people lvl their heroes by attacking their own alt kindoms or attack by agreement?

And why would you do that instead of attacking a neighbour going "all in" and taking risks?

The majority of those playing now are original Totem Tribe players and most are not fans of PvP.  We're mainly lovers not haters which is why we ask our neighbours before attacking and looting each others towns :).

Yes we have politely asked before attacking so as not to hinder other players development. For example by not killing settlers or destroying towers before the initial quests are completed

I agree as well. This is test phase so I only want to "test" the attacks and how my hero is affected. It is more rewarding to become a neighbor than it is to become a warrior.

Attacking your own hero's if you are a warrior amongst peaceful players is not pathetic. It lets you see what damage is done from both sides of the battle

I also meant to say that when I attack my neighbours and loot loads of rescources - I always send resources back.

My stats haven't even left single digit status, so no point posting them here.  ;-)  I do like the idea of asking first, especially during this test phase.

Speaking of achievement, or lack thereof, I can see one of my dwellings was attacked over night.  (Unless a plague wiped everyone out.)  How do I get the particulars on who it was that attacked me and what damage they did?

Never mind.  Since there was no report under my reports tab I figured there was another way.  I confirmed that any attack would be reflected in the reports, but no such information appeared to explain the disappearance of my military units.

They could die out of hunger if you left your town with negative food production.

Do any of you play yo target specific achievements intentionally or you just play regularly and get them from time to time unexpectingly?

I checked on that and I had plenty of food.  In fact, my storage was full.  Only my military units were affected.  I still had my dogs and all the workers, though that may not be significant.

I don't target any achievements specifically.  I just play and get them when I get them.

I target some achievements  and just play for some. It is a lot to look through so mostly just play.

Did you send your military units to the Herald's Home by mistake?

I did that once and the units all died of starvation.
