Enkord Cash refund on Alpha 6 launch

Enkord Cash refund on Alpha 6 launch

All Enkord Cash spent since 1st of March 2016 until the wipe will be returned on Alpha 6 launch, regardless of when it is going to happen.

So far we plan to release the Alpha 6 and wipe current progress somewhere near the end of March, but this is only a rough estimate and may or may not be changed. It will depend on actual completion status.

Alpha 6 will have at least the following new things:

  • Whole new Industrial Age with appropriate units, buildings, and so on.
  • Monster den quest locations where you will be able to battle monsters, level your hero up and earn items. Monsters there will respawn from time to time. There will be over 10 of such locations with the majority of them discoverable under the fog right from the start.
  • Alpha 6 will happen in a new climate - the desert.
  • New minigame like the Wonderful Garden.

I've now been playing about a month, and this being an addictive game, I spent more than I could afford in that short time.  As a newcomer to the alpha system, I see this last month as a dialing it down time to do more experimenting than serious building. The idea being that Alpha 6 is my first full test and I want a chance to play it through all the available eras including new ones

I am suggesting that newcomers like myself who may have been surprised by all the temptations to spend would benefit greatly by the creators refunding "Encord Cash" used since February 1st. (for every player of course).

This would be a terrific gesture of good will towards us newbies and encourage us to come back each time to help polish this game.  It 's a great game, and the refund of Encord cash (not actual real cash) will help us enjoy the game as much or more the next time and I'm sure more spending will ensue.

I'm done spending on Alpha 5 as it's seems much more exciting to spend on a new fresh start. Having the Encord cash back from the last month would be extra exciting and you know that once you have those speed-ups, one is hooked and will have to buy more, along with the new goodies you bring with the new Alpha.

I just want to be very excited about the new Alpha and since I expect many more, this would help each alpha get off to a rolling exciting start.  The store stuff flies out of the inventory quite rapidly, and while it is not required to play, it's very exciting to have all those goodies and gifts that make us feel appreciated after all we've done being wiped out for new trials.

I hope you consider this and in the future you could tell us the terms a bit sooner. It's virtual money and would make newcomers like myself who only have a chance to make it to classical so much happier.  It's a great game in progress and such refunds of virtual cash will not happen upon final release, but for now it may make the difference between more newbies staying, especially those with disappointing starts.

Berserker, I did wish to add a big thank you for what you've done with the game and the refund you are giving.  I was disappointed when I wrote this, but not due to anything you and your team said or did.  A veteran of all or most of the Alphas told me from the start that we get back our Encord dollars to spend on the following alpha and this person didn't specify a time frame.

While I think I made some valid points, everyone is very pleased with you and I in no way wish to hurt others or you by complaining.  It is nice knowing that next time I can play the entire alpha and am always willing to offer feedback if you wish.  It's an insanely fun game and complaining at this point feels like a mistake.  Please except my aplogies.  I would have edited the original post but I could not find a way to do so.  Now I'm off to try to make my garden one of red flowers :)

If you release this on March 28th I will not know what to do. I have Jury Duty on the 30th. I know I will have 6 days of protection. Bring it on. I can take it. So excited now I feel like it is Christmas.
