Loosing entire village??!!??

So basically I loose my entire village because I have to put my game on "pause" due to my "real" life. This really blows. And now I get to start all over,,,,again. For the 3rd time,,,since an update automatically restarted the game for me,,,thank you very much.

Not only do I not get to play the game in single player mode like the previous game, which was a fantastic game by the way. But now the game is just like all the other games and apps out there. Alliances, building, attacking, running while you are away, etc, etc, etc.

I'm seriously disappointed. And I'm not starting the game over and over again because I have to "pause" it when my real life doesn't allow me to escape into the gaming world for hours at a time. Every day, or several times a day. Was it too much to ask for you guys to keep the same type of game that you had going? Congratulations!!! Now you have a game just like everyone else!!! Thanks for nothing.

This is an Alpha, meaning it is still is heavy development. There is a "Vacation" mode you can use so you do not lose your hero when going away for real life, and the updates as stated in the agreement before you started can wipe your stats due to testing. This is no where near a full game, we are all just testers. And if it bothers you maybe you should wait for the game to be finished.

You obviously missed the main point. No biggie, and I realize that it's still in development. I am here too!!!! And I got here the same way you did! WOW!! LOL Mainly disappointed it's not single player AND it's exactly like all the other games out there. But whatever. You've played one, you've played them all. Just going to have to find a new game to like,,sad really.

No need to be dismissive when someone is giving an explanation of the status of the game here.   Barns did not miss the main point, but it seems you missed his.  :-/

No, I think he missed the main point. This game is not a lot like TT1, it is a lot like every other PVP related city builder. You build a city, wait a bajillion years to acquire stuff, get attacked, rebuild, wait a ton, and lather rinse repeat. It kinda blows.

How can you say that when this is an ALPHA? Literally this is only 10-20% of the game, mostly just the PVP aspects are in the game being tested right now, there is almost no story at the moment...

Are you saying there aren't about 9305492335983495 games where you build a city, and wait for X amount of time for it to build, and wait on resources? Or are you saying it *IS* like Totem Tribe 1? I seem to remember Totem Tribe 1 being a fast paced game where you built many cities in maybe even a single night.

There's not even that many game available..... You seem to only be focusing on the build part of the game and have obviously forgot what TT was.

Story or no story, the game play is just like all the others. Alliances, build cities, battles, war against others, etc. They are all the same now. Join alliances, wait for resources, etc. Maybe a puzzle or two. Totem Tribe 1 was unique in that it was a seek and find as well as a smaller city building. Reaching smaller goals on a single player mode. You didn't need to rely on other players to reach those goals, and you didn't need to join alliances like all other games out now.  Either way, they have capitalized on their original game to make it like all the others. I personally would have paid for a game like the older one even if it meant redefining the story line.

I mean look at all the games out there that have taken their story lines and dragged them out so far that they are completely taken away from the original stories. And now you don't even need to finish THIS game, you can just go to a different game and get the same kind of game play. Totem Tribe is ruined as far as I'm concerned. I know it's not the finished game and the "story" isn't really out in FULL yet. But honestly, is it really going to get any better??? I seriously doubt it. Especially now that we see that the game is like all the others.

Maybe they will surprise with the final product, that would be nice. But I'm not holding my breath. I just don't get what the attraction is with all the games with alliances and such. Is it just to keep everyone online and using up bandwidth?

Geeze, you sound like an industry competitor plant.
