What if a new estimation has been done for battles ? the current estimation is that the hero, some closing units, a very few doctors and ranged units only participate in each round, and also some of the monsters only participate in each round. So what if the hero, all closing units, all doctors and most of the ranged units ( due to their range ) and also all monsters participated in each round ? I think this will give the game more excitement.PLEASE participate with your opinions, as I would like to know all players opinions about this issue. thanks.

I think you didnt fight enough to understand the mechanism of the battles and how to analyse a battle report. Is just mathematics :))

I think that having all units participate in the battle would make the game less exciting, actually - that way you can just bash your way through any battle without any strategy. This way you have to think more about what you're doing. Like Arya said, you just need to analyse the battle reports!

Actually I think both of you Arya and Severine are the ones who should know how to analyze battle reports, I did analyze battle reports very well and have seen that NOT all closing units participate in battles, and NOT all doctors heal wounded units, and NOT all archers participate too, and until now NONE of my Sages participated in any battle too, also NOT all monsters participate in each round, so do you really think this is exciting enough ? if you do I don't.anyway everyone has the freedom to think by the way he likes, and to say his\her opinion. so I am thanking you very much on saying your opinion :) and I would like to know the real opinions of other players, and also the opinions of administrators.

Is not a question of quantity, is a question of quality/ranges of the units involved in the battles ..

If you did study the reports as well as you said then you would have noticed why each unit is not participating in battle. The range slots are important and Arya is correct.

I know about range very well, but does that mean that only 5 or 6 archers and doctors out of 30 participate each round ? does it mean that only some but not all closing units participate ? if you have something I don't have so please tell me

I agree a better formation is needed, the way it is now just throws your units out of range. But you need to work with the range of your units, play with the right amount to get better results. Taking 100 units of all different ranges just means you are going to have a lot out of range and unable to participate in battle.

The way the game mixes units is made for a reason. If it will place all shooters in the back, they won't be dying most of the time and placing toughest units in the front to soak damage will be universal strategy, will make battles more predictable and thus boring. Instead we are mixing them less evenly allowing some back range units to be placed closer to the front too, imitating more realising situations of battle like when someone from the back row was killed by a wild bullet/arrow. The square formation is made for a reason too. The longer the row is, the more powerful your army is as more units can attack. Making formation square makes the row grow slower, making armies more evenly balanced against each other. We do have plans to add some formation customizations though, to provide more strategy, but they will allow more generic army ordering, not individual unit placement.
