Hello Berseeker

Did you forget us?

We don't see you anymore on CC, and not many updates for some times now... Today, but it's hard to get in the game. Maybe you are in another project, but we are your clients and we love your game since we stay and play and donate.

Can you give us some news? Are you still working on this game?

Can't wait to hear from you,

Jade (or Nico lol)

Or anyone of the devs could tell us what is happening, how long it will take (approximately). Please.

Since they don't reply I'm replying (but I won't do it again berserker so if you want to keep your donators you better communicate a little bit next time): As I said in http://www.totemtribe.com/talk/anyone-out-there/ they are working on many things and what I said about new files being added regularly is still true because (don't read further if you don't want to get spoiled):

They added the oxygen bottles item a few days ago. By the way what I said about "bunker" might just be the room you can open in one mine, but others stuff I described are definitely futur contents.

The team is still working on the game both in terms of tech (Mac version is close to completion) and content (something interesting is along the way), but me personally became frustrated with people not valuing all the effort I have put during last 8 hard years of development of this game so I have switched to another project. We will try to release a promised new building soon.

Dear Bers

Don't be downhearted or lose faith in the players :)  We are still playing, because we love this game :)

You don't have to listen to the ones complaining about this game, because they will leave, but you will come to understand that it's just human nature for most of us to complain sometimes :)

Take me, almost a year ago I joined this game, at the time, I was recovering from a stroke (still am!) but this game has given me so much more than 'just a game' it's taught me how to use words again and that is just one of the many advantages this game has given me :)

Please don't forget us again, or punish us for being bad and making you cross, we love you and everyone else in this 'game' just like a family, and like any family, we fall out sometimes, but we still love each other :)

Lots of love Lynie xxx

Most players here have played many alphas and betas, and want to see your game continue and be completed.  For you to become frustrated and move on does not show us that you are interested in finishing the game. We are you customers and to hear you say you have moved on, will make many stop spending and playing.

|You have always asked for opinions and feedback but now seem to ignore or dismiss any ideas but your own. We do need to see that you are actively moving the game forward or players will become frustrated and move on to other projects too.

That's exactly the kind of sentiments that are the most off-putting  - the threat to stop donating. Keep it up. The more and more varied threats - the better.

That is not a threat. It is a fact. Why would anyone keep donating and playing if he game has no future? I love this game and it saddens me to think that you are giving up.  I have no  knowledge on how to move game forward, only voicing my thoughts on what is happening now.

We usually talk and give our opinion when it's not going well. And as a business man, you sure know that!

but seems you will let this game go... (sad, very sad). We are many that enjoy the game here. I think you should focus on us, who likes the game, play it everyday and yes, donate. It's not just a game it's also a community. Your community. With the bads AND the goods. Hope you will get over this :)

c'mon, Bers, we play this game because we love it, for so many of us it has become a "family" , we play AND support not only you but the game itself.  There are no threats being made, we are just frustrated because you threaten us with moving on!  There are many good suggestion given to you, and you seem to push them aside to fulfill your own goals.  Put yourself in our positions for just a minute and think about your decisions. You have put too much into this to be a quitter now, you wont always feel warm and cozy about some of the remarks made, but you need to listen, make the game as great as it can be, for your customers, not just you.  If it is great for us it will be great for you!

It really saddens me, Bers, that you feel so alienated from the community that you built. And that the communication between you and the community has become one of contention rather than collaboration. I was very touched by slynsand's story of how this game is helping with recovery from a stroke. I think there are many more stories about how this game has been a lifeline for people, how the community here has touched the lives of so many. And, I hope you understand that you have been the catalyst for that. We've all created this together but it would not have been possible without your vision. I hope we can find a way to repair and renew our relationship to you and your relationship to us. It is important to many people.

I completely understand your feelings -- we are very hard on you sometimes :)  and we don't express our gratitude for your hard work as often as we probably should. But I hope you will consider the fact that so many of us are still here and starting new heroes and contributing our time and money -- and that is appreciation and gratitude.

Hi bers.

I just want to say a huge 'THANK YOU' to you and your team for the effort and time you have put into developing this game and for the friends I have made here in the last few years also. I have met  people that I now call friends from all over the world, learnt loads and thoroughly enjoy being here.  Without this game, the world would be a lonely place for some.

I'm happy to 'donate' to something I really enjoy doing and towards the future of the game. I am not a good player and will probably only ever reach the Wealth Victory but I don't really mind, I enjoy the social aspect of the game and happy to plod along in my own way.

I can totally understand the frustration of the more experienced players here who want to try the other Victories etc, they are just passionate about the game and want to make the game a huge success, but I can also totally  understand your comment that you feel under-appreciated lately. It cannot be denied that you have all worked very hard on this game for a long time.

We all want the same thing for the game, for it to be a huge success. I do not know what the answer is to all of this, apart from constructive feedback, better communication and more understanding from BOTH sides.

I second that vote for you to stay with this game... if we have any influence at all I am hoping you will see the value of this game for many and disregard those who are just unhappy people and critical no matter what  is going on. I am thoroughly addicted too..lol..so really reconsider. And thank you for creating it in the first place.

We have been spoiled, with a lot of new content, recently.  There is plenty to do already, maybe put new stuff on hold, while existing game is tweaked and polished :)

Eight years is a long time, to devote to One project.  Berserker may be all the better, for a change.  I'm sure he won't be able to resist, popping back with new ideas.  Anyway, here is a poem I wrote awhile ago. I call it "The Old Soldier".

If by pulling the plug you mean shutting down the game then no, I will keep the servers as long as at least few players are playing. If you mean new content then it depends on donations. They are declining and if they reach certain low level, I will not be able to justify updates and new content.

Eight years is a long time and thank you for all your hard work Bers! You have given a lot of fun to a lot of people. I hope this game can go on to become a huge success as it deserves to be and in the meantime, all the best of luck with your new project. We will miss you!

Hi Bers

Just want to say a heartfelt thank you for this wonderful game.  I have been playing for almost 5 of those 8 years and I am still addicted.

I wish you all the luck in the world for your new project.

If you decide to move on Bers, all the best for you with future projects and life in general. Wishing you all the best going forward. But let me just say as a new member to the community and completely oblivious to everything that has happened since TTJ was conceived up until the point I joined, I was hooked from the beginning. Coming from someone that has played hordes of MMO's I can honestly say this is one of the best (if not the best in it's genre) I have ever played. I won't presume to know how you feel or to know all the angles but from a new member to the world you created and an avid fan of all games that truly are a piece of art I hope everything can be worked out and that you may realize anew what a truly awesome game and community you are forging. If us new players have any input and where to be an indication as to how "young blood" will take to this game I truly hope that I could do this for you and that whatever your decision may be going forward that it will be more informed and that one more person had the opportunity to thank you for all your hard work and vision in creating TTJ. Cool Runnings - Baz.
