Congrats! :)

I wonder how many people made their flowers turn red. There is at least one I know of, I wonder if there are more.

If I can keep doing one per day you'll have 2 you know of in 10 days. lol

Not sure how close I am to the red flowers but I know I have nearly 100 tulips and a 17 square grid I think

From what I gather in the achievement section 20x20 is the final reward, so I'm assuming that's red.

I got my red flowers just now, can confirm they turn once you reach 20x20.

I've been stuck at 16x17 for about 100 rounds. Failure due roughly 70% to randomness, 30% to missclicks or other stupid mistakes.

And when I say randomness, I really mean it, where you just cannot choose between several hidden tiles which would both work.

My gardens usually generates 3-4 randomness in each garden, so I have basically 2^(-4) = 1/16 chance of solving a garden. Moreover, I haven't earned any herbicide since the start of my 16x17 garden.

I hope we can exchange dead flowers for herbicide soon ???

I've completed the garden quest a couple weeks ago, so cannot check the re-worded rules and tips there...(so, im sorry if this is somehow worded there as a rule or hint now).

Practice is the best teacher though...:)

One very important rule, that wasnt stated back then and which helps a lot to avoid so-called guesses with big gardens, is that all roads, although connected, cannot form any 'circles' anywhere, or in other words, there can be only one route from any road cell to any other distant road cell.

In the example below, X's around the two flowers MUST be roads, but  AT LEAST one Y MUST be a flower (or a part of a flower group).

Y  X  X  Y

X  2  2  X

Y  X  X  Y

Sometimes you end up with 2 or more valid solutions regardless, and if you dont have a spray available, you can only hope youll get lucky or that the next garden would allow you to avoid guessing...:)

Happy hoeing!

Not a bad idea, will be implemented in the next update.

good tip savi.

Another tip (got it from the rules from a similar game) all roads must be connected, you can not have isolated bits of road.

Also, i suspect Santa is also stuck on this puzzle, since his "Hoe, hoe, hoe" (could also be an idea for a Christmas event with Santa as quest giver)

Is there a limit to the number of herbicides you can have in your inventory before the game will simply not give you any more? I failed about 20 times yesterday without getting one, 2 in inventory. I had been trying to save up so the last few plots weren't as much of a headache, but now with being able to cash flowers in it should be much much easier.

So wait, at what frequency can we ask new herbicides to the herbalist ? One per day ?

One per attempt and only if you have none.

One per attempt and only if you have none.

does that mean:  You can only get a herbicide if you don't have one herbicide?   You can never have 2 herbicides?  So you can't save up to get two or more herb-hints?

You cannot get 2 herbicide for flowers, but you can find more in the garden.

OMG indeed I don't recall reading that rulle back then. Thank you a LOT for pointing this out. Indeed this removes a lot of what I thought was randomness in my gardens !! (And makes the thinking process more exciting :D)

EDIT : also got my 9x9 flower block just a while ago ;-) No herbicide used as well for completing this level, thanks to savipats :D

Nice observation. While this is not really a rule, but a level generator side effect, it is quite consistent so I guess I can post it as a rule to the Florist explanations.

Well this new tip that was posted made my last choice for which was a flower wrong :( it does not apply if the flowers are on the edge). So does not always work that there is only one path.

Can you post a screenshot so we will get a better understanding?
