i know it's a war game but truce or lada spells nearly useless some experienced players saying truce flag attract attacker so my little suggestion please down truce preparation time to 1hr or max 2hr then newbies can enjoy the game fully and all can honor true flag as we are playing war game we should not disturb peace things thanks

Alternatively could just not show the truce to other players while it's being prepared? But only once it's active. Not sure if alliance members should be an exception to this, so everybody not in your alliance wouldn't know that you are preparing the truce.

Great World doesn't express himself well and there are many issues with him in the game, but there is something true about the fact that, if someone plans to attack someone else in, let's say 20 hours, when he sees a truce being prepared, he instead decides to attack earlier since the planned attack is now impossible, so the truce made the problem worst instead of helping. It's even more true in case of a lada's ward, and both those items are more used than before since they also protect against monsters habitats.

Given an attack may take 5 hours to reach target (or more) and similar to return. Then it is not really very fair on the attackers to lose essentially the whole day travelling somewhere to only find a flag active when they arrive and return home. For this reason I dont agree with reducing or hiding the timer.

My wonder needed a few days more, and I was attacked there allready, so give me a break to finish my vic when I put on the truce flag ! It is a symbol for that I am not ready to fight. Some respect that, others don't. What do you think I am gone do after this ? Truce is needed sometimes and respect that. Find yourself another town to attack. Next time I go after the attackers. The truce flag is such a laugh the way we can use it now. It is not worth to put it on as it now is. Make it work longer or remove them from the game. I agree with Nors about this discussion.

thanks for reply i know it harms attacker strategy but target person must get a chance for surviving after a massive attack

You might consider it that, but that doesn't mean that everybody else does. For me, truce is for getting defense in order. Given that your wonder was "protected" by 5 level 1 unpromoted towers beforehand, and nothing built defensewise during the truce, it didn't look like you cared very much whether your town, and everything that is in it, were protected much. Given that your politics is republic, you had a huge chance to protect your wonder and cause us considerable losses. You didn't, instead you are blaming other player's behaviour and the game mechanics.

I mean between putting the first flag on and the second or even a third. I knew about the first that it needed 12 hours for being active, but even between the second and the third it needs also 12 hours that they are inactive

Concerning Flags and Ladas. This is a WAR game. You cannot be under flags 24 hours a day. As far as i am concerned they are perfect. I have been on both sides using and waiting for somebody to come out from under flags. If you dont like your situation then improve it. raise your defenses, get in a better alliance that will support you. WHINING only makes you a target!

thanks for ur reply its not matter of whining we are discussing about truce flag ok i explain u , think u r playing in a alliance ,a strong alliance attack ur town in group and u can know about upcoming attack nearly 1hr then u have no way because ur alliance member can't reinforce u in time so its not real truce preparation and fight will be one sided and about defense towers until medieval age is totally worth less they can't fight against air attack

u r a great player as i know u help newbie u must teach others don't follow people who destroy newbie in this game about defense u know if u r experienced u can easily crush newbie, some do ,defence until medieval is totally worthless ,experienced people can go faster in tech while newbie are slow because they are learning some newbie totally quit due to attack by some experienced players

I did not knew that there was a 12 hours that the flags were not working
The 12 hour warning is clearly stated when you use the Lada's Ward or the Truce Proclamation. I do agree, if you are preparing for truce and other players can see this - then you are at some vital point in your game where peace & not being attacked for 24 hours is important. However, if an attack comes in before the flag takes effect well so be it. I do not agree with very high level players attacking very low level players with or without a truce. If a town has clearly been abandoned at player level 1 - 10, then all in. But a level 30+ player attacking anyone under level 10 is wrong. Particularly when they show up with 200+ Strong Medieval or Renaissance Army against Stone Age or Classical age regardless of Collectivism - they get wiped out. It's discouraging for new players. And we all want new players.

I've been playing this game for what I think is 9 years now. (Time flies) The debates about war remain the same. Someone feels that being vulnerable to attack by others is unfair. Attackers feel the defensive benefits available are too strong and on it goes. I have never, however, seen anyone ask that the preparation time for Ladas and doves be hidden. Let's take it from the attacker's perspective. Say you have a ward prepping and it's not visible. Some attacks take half a real-time day and thousands in food to reach the targets. If the prep time is hidden there is a risk that the armies will have spent all that time and those resources only to turn around. No one will attempt an attack that they do not have time to complete and they should be warned of the time remaining so they don't waste time and resources.
Regardless, wards are meant to buy time for defenses to be improved and/or rebuilt. If the defenses aren't there to begin with, there is no point to a ward except to hide behind them and not play the game as it was designed to be played. No one should be permitted immunity from other players 24/7. That is not fair to those that want to experience every aspect of this game or even just the war aspect.
As far as higher level players attacking lower level players, you should be aware that the entire justification for the 30-day rule prohibiting attack/reinforcement by players 30 days older or younger than another, was just that. It was an effort to level the playing field between players. It's not the fault of a good player that a less-than-dedicated or limited player can't develop their kingdom sufficiently. If you are one of those that have 5 heroes none of which have progressed beyond level 10 in more than 30 days and you remain in stone age or lower levels beyond 30 days then be prepared. Other players will assume you don't care about that hero/kingdom and treat it accordingly. Anyone that starts within 30 days of another is free to attack, regardless of hero level. Play the hero, develop the kingdom or let it go and stop complaining. That's my advice.

i agree with u but in my experience defense until medieval is worth less against industrial or info age player specially air attacks no medieval player can survive with those attack so i think something need to change , about truce flag its depend on player who respect truce or not but in reality truce flag means that player requesting stop war
