Overall i liked locations and quests. But i only do those in between my other things in the game.Quests are not that important to me.Once i know their solutions, i just take care of them asap.

Hm.... are you saying that you are enjoying the meta-game of building, training, fighting and so on more than quests? So multiplayer part is more interesting for you than single-player part?

After the upgrade:

I went back to talk to Kanen about the Sphere. When I click on: I know more about the Sphere, it opens this dialogue, but then, nothing else. No response from Kanen, not even a OK, thanks :p

Note: I found all the pages of the journal in NK. It's a nice touch and maybe I should have tried to find them before I talked to Juliana or Fargred, maybe it changes the outcome of the discussion ? Or maybe it reveals something about the heirloom (like Juliana is evil and has left the village to do bad things now that she has the brooch back ?) ? However, it would be nice to be able to read the thing again: having a tab to re-read all the dialogues/parments we've had could help.

PS: gems in KV, miss 1 green and 1 white. Don't think I'll go back to find those. Waiting for a magnifiying glass :D

Indeed the Kanen response is bugged, will fix it in the next update.

After having asked and had many answers (and have searched my dwelling for 3 days), I have to post a possible bug. I post here to not spoil in the general areas.

I can't find Lester in my Dwelling and I wonder if he isn't hidden by my wall:

Screen where I wonder if there is an arm coming from behind the wall...  If not, I really wonder where he is !!

Damn, I moved him away from one wall and now he is blocked by another one :)

I'm really stumped in NK, I cannot  for the life of me find any of the pages, not one nor have I found the sun.  I don't know whether I still have fog to uncover, and if I  have, I cannot find any blockage that might be preventing me exploring any further.  I have put the dog to sleep, Lester has agreed to join me.
In total I have probably spent about 2 hours (20 minute visits before getting really frustrated) in NK and probably about 40 minutes in KV where I have managed to convince the chief to allow his daughter to join me.  The chieftans son wont speak to me now because I told his father on him even though I said I wouldn't lol, so I agree that the options in dialogue add to the quest.
I have currently found over half the gems in each locations but I haven't been searching for them, I just picked up the ones that were obvious. Don't know if I will bother looking for the rest of them as they do nothing yet.

Several questions to those who have beaten the new 2 locations:

  1. How long did it take to beat each of the two locations?
  2. A. Took about 5 hours
  3. In what order have you beaten them? Was it one first then another, or flipping back and forth? If so, at which positions?
  4. A. Switched back and forth looking for things I may have missed or needed
  5. If you have beaten Ruins of New Kyiv with NEW account, what kind of army allowed you to beat it? (For advanced pre-existing accounts this is not very useful because you are too strong for this location which is supposed to be unlocked earlier in the game)
  6. A. I died once using hero, 5 braves and 6 hunters, a snake and a dog. Came back the second time and beat them with same troops
  7. Which characters did you managed to join your town?
  8. A. Lester in one account and no-one in the second..made Lester hate me!!
  9. How did you beat the Juliana quest?
  10. A. I have no idea where she went! The girl disappeared on me!
  11. Puzzle in Keepers Village. Have you beaten it? How long / how many tries did it take? How hard was it for you?
  12. A. It was hard, seemed pretty simple at first..#of flowers coinciding with numbers on plaques but ended up asking for help with it. Took about 8 tries
  13. How hard was items hidden in Ruins of New Kyiv? Which ones were the hardest? (not talking about gems)
  14. A. I still haven't found all the pages yet but for the most part is was fairly easy after I went and spent some time doing something else..building and training. The longer I stayed searching the harder it was.
  15. How many gems have you found in each of the two locations? Which ones are missing for you?
  16. A. I found all the gems! One of my favorite things to do!
  17. How did you like conversations with characters? Do they stand in the way of your gaming or compliment it well?
  18. A. Some made me laugh, some were "needed" and some were just dumb..I think they did the job, helped, distracted, and ignored.
  19. How do you compare these 2 new locations with a) Opposition Hideout; b) original Totem Tribe locations; c) Keepers Village and Ruins of New Kyiv one towards another.
  20. A. Not sure if it's because it was something different but OH was the prep for these quests and I love quests even if they are hard.
  21. a) close to the same for me
  22. b) quests were easier there
  23. c) KV was searching (time consuming) and Ruins was interactive (nice combo)
  24. How did you beat each of the new quests available in those locations? Specify any significant steps / choices.
  25. A. It's a good thing I have more than one Hero! I chose different answers for different hero's to see what the difference would be..wow! And then just went by the answers to complete the next quest. I still have a few left to do but promised "someone" I would do this now! pfft
  26. Last comment: The dog was easy enough to put to sleep, the scary part was when he woke up after building the tower! I love all the items found laying around (coin, statues, etc) F3 button helps alot! I just wish there was a way to get my hero back to city faster or able to send her somewhere I want! ex: from Ruins to KV directly. I will add more when I think of things :)

1.How long did it take to beat each of the two locations? 3 days gaming time, about 12 hours.

2.In what order have you beaten them? Was it one first then another, or flipping back and forth? If so, at which positions? Checked out KV first, then went to NK. Flipped back and forth many times.

4.Which characters did you managed to join your town? Lester and Euleuia are in my Dwelling now.

5.How did you beat the Juliana quest? It was not clear where the Brooch was located. Once again, a hint here would be good to let us know where to look.  The watering trees quest should be direct information. 'There are x number of dead trees in the area', please water each one to clear the path to the village. And then, tell us 'you have watered y of x trees so far'.

6.Puzzle in Keepers Village. Have you beaten it? How long / how many tries did it take? How hard was it for you? This puzzle was very hard. It was also not part of the quest. It would be good to tell us that it is an optional thing. It would also be good to offer hints (or even offer to skip the puzzle). Nice Blueprint prize for success though.

7.How hard was items hidden in Ruins of New Kyiv? Which ones were the hardest? (not talking about gems)
The Water Drop, Sun, Fog, Snowflake thing was not clear. If not for friends, this would never have been solved by me. Did I miss a Quest direction to search for these items?

8.How many gems have you found in each of the two locations? Which ones are missing for you?
I have found more than half of the gems in each location.

9.How did you like conversations with characters? Do they stand in the way of your gaming or compliment it well? The second conversation with Gromus was not clear. I didnt ask for 'more questions', so didnt get the added quests. Why not just say 'there are more quests' for you here.

10.How do you compare these 2 new locations with a) Opposition Hideout; b) original Totem Tribe locations; c) Keepers Village and Ruins of New Kyiv one towards another. It was good to tell us that we needed 500 wood to build a bridge. This would be good in OH as well for the stone bridge. 'Place 1800 stone here to cross the water." I would like the directions to be direct, and not 'subtle.'

11.How did you beat each of the new quests available in those locations? Specify any siginficant steps / choices. Its all about networking with others for me. Without their help, none of the quests would be completed. lost memory and alta are still active. I have 3 clues listed for the crossroads. Not useful clues however, 'I have no idea where to look', and 'no idea where the library is', are really not clues at all.  I used a potion to reset my hero stats, and gave him 15 Charisma, so the chief would trust me with his daughter.

1.  It took me a while, several hours, mostly spent looking for hidden things or trying to solve the puzzles.

2.  I flipped back and forth between the two locations, mostly due to being stuck and needing to do something else.

3.  N/A

4.  Lester, I don't have enough charisma for Eleuia right now

5.  I gave her the brooch before I killed Fargred

6.  I did beat it but only with lots of help.  I tried it on my own for quite a while and many different tries before I got help.  On a scale of 1-10 it was an 8 in difficulty for me.

7.  The items were fairly easy.  Finding the items that went in the statues were harder especially the sun and snowflake.

8.  I found all of them in the the Keepers Village and am missing 2 white in New Kyiv

9.  I like the conversations, they are a nice change and makes the game have variations to just building and going to war.
I don't like the answers I choose in the conversation affecting what outcome I can have.  I prefer to be able to go back and change my answers just to see what could have happened.

10.  a)  I felt like the Opposition Hideout had a little more to it in the sense of finding new areas, but the puzzles were easier.
b)  I enjoyed the skeletons and bones and how they reminded me of the OG TT and being worried of uncovering fog to find monsters.
c)  I found New Kyiv more interesting, it felt like more interaction, had monsters and I liked the puzzles being quests more than just a puzzle.  Similar with Keepers Village quest to find the village.  I loved the tower weather change and that you had to find different clues according to the weather.

11.  I explored everywhere in Keepers Village first (closer on the map) then when I got stuck on the puzzle (I assumed it took you somewhere like in OH so I thought it was vital to the quest and spent A LOT of time on it)
I went to New Kyiv.  I explored there as well, killed mosters and found the Healer.  Discovered, by accident, you can go under the fog in some locations and was able to see Cerberus but I couldn't see how I could reach him.  Was stuck because didn't have enough berries or bones and didn't see how I could reach Cerberus.
Went back to KV on the hints of others about the tress, figured out how to find the village, talked to everyone I could.  Talked to Eleuia's father and was told "NO!"
Went back to NK and discovered the thorn bush which allowed me to collect all berries and bones, went to healer to get the mixture, knocked out Cerberus.  Talked to Lester and from here I was at a standstill as I couldn't figure out what else to do so took a break for a few days.
Only after getting lots of help from people was I alble to finish first the puzzle in KV then NK.  NK was fairly easy, I was just making it a little too hard.  I think after the puzzle in KV I assumed the weather puzzle in NK was going to be just as hard.
Found the brooch and Fargred, went back to KV to give Juliana the brooch, went back to NK to kill Fargred. Had help finding the lost pages.

1. It took me about 5-6 hours total with the help of several people.

2. I bounced back and forth. Doing a little of each at a time.

3. I am a fairly new player and I just took my entire army. I did have to resurrect my hero at least once. Tyler, my 9 year old grandson, really enjoyed fighting with the skeletons.

4. I think just the treasure seeker joined my town.

5. I completed Juliana quest by giving her the brooch.

6. That was quite a puzzle. I was totally clueless to solve it until someone helped me. Now I quite enjoy it and have been delighted that I could help others. I like that everyone's is different.

7. Finding everything was very difficult. I had help. The sun was the hardest to find.

8. I am still missing over half the gems in both locations.

9. The conversations were good except for the swear word with Juliana. I really am uncomfortable with the use of that one word and I really don't want Tyler exposed to it.

10. The graphic are awesome. Very well done. I never would have noticed the thorns to chop in NK without help.

11. I did lose my jar in NK trying to put out the fire. Which I might add is still burning. LOL

Overall, it was very fun and challenging!  It was really fun to see everyone so excited by the new quests.

Sorry, which swear word was that? Not being native English speaker myself I might assume something is ok, while it is not.

Although this game might look childish at times, this game is geared towards adults and I don't particularity strive to make it appealing to kids, but I think if the problem is just one word, that can be fixed.

I like the game even if it didn't have quests. There is so much to do that quests can get in the way sometimes:).But i do enjoy them.I just like the other parts of the game more.

btw: Still working on finding part(s) of the parchment. I've got 4 now, but wonder how many are left to be found.

Several questions to those whe have beaten the new 2 locations:

  1. How long did it take to beat each of the two locations? About six hours
  2. In what order have you beaten them? Was it one first then another, or flipping back and forth? If so, at which positions? I went first to KV, cleared the town and got the quests. Then to Kyiv cleared the town, completed the quests, then back to KV
  3. If you have beaten Ruins of New Kyiv with NEW account, what kind of army allowed you to beat it? (For advanced pre-existing accounts this is not very useful because you are too strong for this location which is supposed to be unlocked earlier in the game)
  4. Which characters did you managed to join your town? Lester
  5. How did you beat the Juliana quest? I made her pay me
  6. Puzzle in Keepers Village. Have you beaten it? How long / how many tries did it take? How hard was it for you? While some players were lucky and the first combination they tried worked, I was not so lucky. By the second combination I had gotten frustrated when it did not work especially with so many players getting the combo the first time. I tried all different kinds of combination on the second one. By the time I got to the third combination I had it figured out and exactly how it worked. Good Puzzle if you were unlucky enough to have the first two work ;)
  7. How hard was items hidden in Ruins of New Kyiv? Which ones were the hardest? (not talking about gems) The hardest was the hidden area where the brooch was took awhile to figure out I could get between the trees.
  8. How many gems have you found in each of the two locations? Which ones are missing for you? I am Missing one of each green, white and yellow
  9. How did you like conversations with characters? Do they stand in the way of your gaming or compliment it well? They were informative, some of them outlandish and some of them to long
  10. How do you compare these 2 new locations with a) Opposition Hideout; b) original Totem Tribe locations; c) Keepers Village and Ruins of New Kyiv one towards another. KV is a laid back restful place and Kyiv is very busy. An army is not necessary at KV but  one is ( depending on hero strength) at Kyiv.
  11. How did you beat each of the new quests available in those locations? Specify any siginficant steps / choices. At Kyiv I cleared all the fog and killed all the skeletons picking up Gems and artifacts along the way. Talking to the people I ran across. The three headed dog immediately sent me and my army to revive ;) I gathered all the quests and then went to see the witch. Finding the papers was easy but finding that sun was hard ;)
  12. I liked both locations and I think maybe a level 1 hero that is brand new to the game may have difficulty figuring out how all of it is suppose to work. For players that have been around for awhile it is easier because we know what is required. ( Like talking to people we run across and going through each different part of the conversations with them.)

We had a similar survey for Opposition Hideout here and it was quite helpful:

SPOILER: Survey for those who beat the Opposition Hideout

  1. How long did it take to beat each of the two locations? About 6 hours. Spent far too long looking for missing gems.
  2. In what order have you beaten them? Was it one first then another, or flipping back and forth? If so, at which positions? KV first to get the quests, then NK. Hero killed when trying to feed fruit to Cerbero. Met witchdoctor and got potion. Flipped back and forth after that.
  3. If you have beaten Ruins of New Kyiv with NEW account, what kind of army allowed you to beat it? (For advanced pre-existing accounts this is not very useful because you are too strong for this location which is supposed to be unlocked earlier in the game) N/A
  4. Which characters did you managed to join your town? Lester and Eleuia.
  5. How did you beat the Juliana quest? Found the brooch, killed Fargred and returned the brooch to Juliana.
  6. Puzzle in Keepers Village. Have you beaten it? How long / how many tries did it take? How hard was it for you? New puzzle type for me. Tried many ways to solve it on my own then a very patient player showed me how to use the clues to solve it. Was worth it. A great reward for opening that door :)
  7. How hard was items hidden in Ruins of New Kyiv? Which ones were the hardest? (not talking about gems) The sun and the last 3 pages.
  8. How many gems have you found in each of the two locations? Which ones are missing for you? KV: missing 1 yellow and 1 white. NK: missing 2 green and 2 white.
  9. How did you like conversations with characters? Do they stand in the way of your gaming or compliment it well? Enjoyed them but found one response to Kanen a bit puzzling. He mentioned a 'Chosen One' but I never met that character and the only choice to end that conversation was "I've met him".
  10. How do you compare these 2 new locations with a) Opposition Hideout; graphics more evolved and much more to do and find.  b) original Totem Tribe locations; Liked the slower, more natural lifting of fog. Reminded me of the same thing on Mist Island and The Guardian Moon in TT1. c) Keepers Village and Ruins of New Kyiv one towards another. KV is relaxing and NK requires more vigilance.
  11. How did you beat each of the new quests available in those locations? Specify any siginficant steps / choices. KV/Lost Knowledge: Watered withered trees, found village and real Keeper. Showed him the Amulet of Kolyada. He said it was a symbol of Gods. Told me to find the Bronze Sphere, an ancient relic. Juliana's Revenge: Found brooch before meeting and killing Fargred. Returned brooch to Juliana. Eleuia's Freedom: Raised charisma and convinced Kanen to let her join me. The Crossroads: updated in KV when Kanen told me the Bronze Sphere contained knowledge to create a perfect world. Updated in NK when I learned the Bronze Sphere had been relocated away from NK to a secret libary somewhere else. Alta Missing: not updated at either location.

  1. Enjoyed them but found one response to Kanen a bit puzzling. He mentioned a 'Chosen One' but I never met that character and the only choice to end that conversation was "I've met him".

Are you sure? It is the guy you stumble on in the beginning of that location which says a few phrases and then moves on.

Definitely did NOT 'stumble upon' that character at the beginning of that location.

This is why I found it puzzling to only be able to reply 'I've met him" when I did not :(
