WEBSITE: Bugs, Mistakes & Suggestions (Website only)

Hi there and nice job berserker,

I know where it is, but i believe the "logout" button is hard to find. Because of the fact some people will login at common computer (school, university, job) it would be better to bring the "logout" button on the mainpages and don't hide it at the "user control panel".

Hello Knut, long time no see :)

I will think about fitting a logout link somewhere on the green button.

BTW, as a player that haven't played original games, what do you think about TT2 after seeing this website?

Hmm i have many original games, my collection is not that small. As far as i know i played totem tribe too but some years ago. I can't remember, but i believe it just was a 1h Test or demo-version or something like that. It was funny but not spezial enough for me to buy the full version. I just found it because of gunrox and at this time this was the genre i want to play.

The website looks amazing and professional. A huge step forward. The layout is great but the style is like always a bit special. I can't describe what i want to say. Its something like gunrox everything fits together and is very clear but some of the details look very much like a game for small children. It was difficult to convince adult friends to test gunrox because of the style. Here beside of the small details it could be easier. The first impression is much more adult. I hope you know what i mean ;)

Yeah I got it, we conciously pursue this kind of art style in this game - funny, cute, satiric at times, but definitely not childish.

P.S. By saying "original games" I meant our original Totem Tribe / Totem Tribe Gold that spawned this sequel :)

Making a form is no big deal. In fact there is a link to our company website below (enkord.com) and there is a contacts section on enkord.com with a form (which still being spammed heavily, captchas do not stop bots too much when you have website with a decent amount of traffic).

It would probably be good to have a contact form right here on TT.com, no? I mean, most people don't scan the whole page for a contact us link, and especially won't think they'll have to go to a whole other website just to find it. I suppose though that once your support system is up and running you will add a link directly to this site for contact info/help. I know captchas don't stop all spam, but the good ones stop most. It's why I recommended Recaptcha. I got lots of spam through my own website's contact form and then once I added Recaptcha I got perhaps 1% of the amount of spam as previously.

I do understand that customer service should come first, but manually digging through spam is not a very good option once you hit some volume of orders. And with free-to-play games it's even more complicated, cause free players require proper support too. That's why I think we should use a clever approach to this problem (integrated system), and that takes time.

I agree, I'm just saying that I hope you guys improve the response time. I also think that you're perhaps you're stuck thinking of it from your point of view and not the user's and I was playing devil's advocate in the hopes that you might see there are potential problems from a user's POV.

There's no point in creating a product and selling it if you're not also making sure your customers are happy in receiving it.

But there is no product yet :) Since at this moment the game is not live in any form I think we can postprone the development of such system until we at least launch an alpha.

Every building must be built brick by brick. We will have an awesome support system when it's time :)

You're once again misunderstanding me. I'm not saying you have to have the support system up and running now. I'm saying you should have a way of getting in contact with you at the very least about registration issues. Going back to an example: You send out an email to people letting them know they have been invited to be an alpha tester. The email reaches someone who bought your game but never signed up for the Enkord forums or comments. They come here and attempt to register in order to play. They discover they can't register for some reason. The only way currently to report problems is via the forums, which requires registration, or via the Enkord site which has a tiny link at the bottom of the page. My question is: how do they contact you in order to report this problem? Are you seriously telling me that if someone can't register on the site, they will then have to wait until you implement the support system to find a way to contact you? Or are you saying that if someone can't register, and there's no support system yet, they'll have to be smart enough/not lazy enough to find their way back to the Enkord site? I think just because you know that the word "Enkord" at the very bottom of the page is linked to Enkord's website does not mean that other people will figure it out, and instead will get frustrated because they don't see a "contact us" link very obviously at either the top of the page or at the least in the footer along with the other account links or even with the legal links. When I scroll down, my eye goes to the links on the left side, and ignores the Enkord sign as one does for most footer-based logos. I just personally can see a lot of people not figuring it out and getting frustrated and then not knowing what to do when they have problems from the outset.

Ok, I've added direct link to the contact form below, but I really see we are missing different button which is called "Solve my specific problems or provide means to do so" :)

It appears the time is not updating on the forums page as to newly posted items. One is working but not a couple of others.

Like "Nana" said, I hate my "Johnna" nickname-- set it up in 2009 and want something cooler. And plans to implement this yet?  Otherwise site looks great.

The new site looks good. I haven't really looked around much, but my first act was to try to change my username. It's now "nana" and I don't want that name anymore. I've had a brief look at the user panel and can see options to change my email and password... but nothing for username. EDIT: Never mind. I see now that the option is under 'heroes', which I don't think will be very obvious to most people. Perhaps you should have some sort of information on the 'info' page that tells you that usernames can be changed on the 'heroes' section.

Except apparently I can't change it there either... ? Apparently I have to have a country first... ? That's confusing.

As for the name change - I did promised one time name change, but it's not implemented yet. It will be implemented later though. I have only two hands and so much stuff to do :)

As for the Heroes section - when the game will be launched you will be able to create country/hero which might have different name from your global name and you will be able to change one of your heroes portrait to be used as an avatar on forums. You can also use his/her name to be displayed, thus it will be kinda rename.

Yeah, name change is still on our schedule, but not #1 priority. We will implement it before the alpha launch that's for sure.

Yeah we are talking past each other. All I was advocating for was an obvious "contact us" link or form.Thank you for adding it.

Possible bug: it shows me that I'm not logged in although now, when I am posting comments, obviously I am.

I had to change my password because of that, still no improvement afterwards, nothing happened when I pressed the login button.

Yes, there is some problem with that, I am investigating it at the moment.

Keep me posted about this issue and any weird behavior. I've made some fixes, but I think the problem still there, I just unable to reproduce it for now.

You were down this am, but your back!!!! I see you added something to the left of the topics a chat "balloon" and a green check mark. Guess that means I looked at something.

Yes, we had some problems but now back. Baloon and check mark was there since the beginning. Check mark means the thread has your posts in it.
