how do I send an invite? my sister in law is a train wreck and needs something to do, lol

she also likes these types of games

You can click on your control panel (green button in the top right here) and select "Invites" section. Keep in mind that this thread is about brainstorming, they are not yet implemented. You will not receive any rewards if you invite other players now.

Okay, aside from regular items and unique outfit, the progress of invited players will also give you another 2 unique categories: tamed monsters and town decorations.

  1. Tamed monsters would be cages with monsters that when applied will give specific monster like dendrog, a yeti, or even a dragon into your army, which you will not get in any other mean.
  2. Town decorations are unique decorations like statues or sculptures which will decorate your town and add a minor boost to your culture, they cannot be obtained other than as bonus for progress of invited players.

How does that sound? Does the deal getting better with all 4 categories or rewards

Definitely worthwhile rewards.  A culture bonus is very motivating.

The proposed reward scheme looks OK to me.

Many players do have multiple accounts which they play actively, and I created this account by an invite from my other one.  I don't see that as a problem.

I would be very selective about who I invited to the game at the current stage however good the rewards were because new players sometimes get quite a hostile reception to the game from experienced players near where they start.  If a newbie pops up near me I have a strong incentive to get them to drop so that I can expand into their former territory.

If you were to add them, i would add an option to exclude them from the attacking/defending troops, like the shelter, to make them just a "decoration" for your town

Be creative and let us learn more about Teya, we dont know anything besides what Groomus tells us.

I agree on this. Having animals as just pets and not necessarily army recruits would be nice. Some animals are useless in battle, some are just cute we like to keep them. While fighting monsters in my own town, I've always had to move tamed animals to other town or keep them in shelter so I don't get them killed.

Also a brilliant idea. Would add to the overall charm of the game.

Invite rewards always contribute to a great deal of what get's players to send invites. I simply have more to gain if I got several items as proposed in the OP for my invitee's progress; and would be far more likely to invite my friends. I would also be able to track how long they have put up with the games slow pace.

A common benefit online games provide is a bonus for your invitee's buying currency, usually a percentage of their own spending. This is also worth considering.

Looks like this thread was pretty helpful and we have the new invite/reward system close to completion, hopefully released next week. Meanwhile I want to do a sneak peek on it's rewards and maybe discuss it a bit more / get some pre-release feedback.

First of all, here is the list of possible achievements:

These are achievements obtained per EACH player you have invited into this game, but the reward is delivered to you. Each of the achievements have at least one of the reward items (some have multiples). In other words - they play and earn achievements - you grab the rewards :)

You can also talk to people you have invited to help them get into the game smoother - you get better rewards to deeped they dive into the game and they will get a motivated friend/coach. Sounds like a win-win to me :)

The achievement conditions are slightly different from my initial announcement, but more or less they are along the lines,  so the level of difficulty is around the same so I will not focus on that - you will see it yourself soon. More importantly I want to announce (and discuss the rewards).

will the rewards like statues and fancy haircuts be able to move with you from hero to hero? Or do we have to start over each time to get the same rewards? Say when we get to A6 will we have the same things we already won.

Yes, and no. As you may have experienced, even some of the artifacts were transferable from A4 to A5. I think the outfit items will be transferable at least in a limited numbers. As for the statues and pets it depends. The pets and statues are given to you as an item (cage with pet). While it is an item I think it can be transferable. After you install the statue or free up the pet, they cannot be turned into an item back and can be lost with your country just like regular building / unit.
